Phone theft is a growing concern, with statistics showing a significant rise in incidents. In London alone, 314 phones are stolen daily, constituting 70% of all personal items taken.

In this post, I'll be talking about how to make use of the findmy feature on iOS devices, Android devices and Samsung devices...

To make use of the "Find My" feature on your phone, whether it's an Apple device, Samsung device, or an Android device, follow these general steps:

*Apple Devices* :
• Open the Find My app.
• Choose "Devices" to see a list of your connected devices.
• Select the device you want to locate on the map.
Originally If the device is online, its location will be displayed, and you can play a sound to help locate it.
• If the device is offline, you will still see its last known location.
• You can also mark your device as lost to protect your information by locking it with a passcode or displaying a message for someone who finds it.

*Samsung Devices* :
• Use SmartThings Find to locate your Samsung mobile phone, tablet, or wearable devices with registered Samsung accounts.
• Enable Find My Mobile on your Samsung device to track it and protect your data.
• SmartThings Find allows you to track lost devices, activate ringing sounds, lock devices, and even delete or back up data remotely

*Android Devices*:
• Install the Google Find My Device app from Google Play Store.
• Open the app and sign in with your Google Account.
• You can see your phone's location on a map and play a sound at full volume to locate it.
• Additionally, you can lock or erase your lost Android device remotely for added security

You need to make sure your device FindMy is setup, proceed by signing in your Apple ID account on a different iOS device or on the web by signing in on AppleID.com, search for the FindMy feature and your device should be displayed there, if it’s signed in a device, head straight to the FindMy app and click on devices, click on your lost device and it should display the device location…
