Nigeria's female entrepreneur Nneka Ede has become the first African woman to own a European football club after she pulled off a deal last June enabling her to own the 108-year-old Lusitano Ginásio Clube that is participating in Campeonato de Portugal (the Portuguese third division).

In her own words after becoming the official owner of the club, Ede expressed her overwhelming excitement to start a new chapter with the club emphasizing the existence of a very deep and long-term sporting relationship between Nigeria and Portugal as she commented "I am excited about this opportunity and I hope that this new chapter will deepen the already great sporting relations between Nigeria and Portugal, continue with the rich history of Lusitano club and provide a pathway for young talent to develop and shine through."On the other hand, the club released a statement confirming that following a process of negotiations that lasted for months, they reached an agreement with the extreme sports enthusiast Nigerian entrepreneur Nneka Ede who is going to share a path with the club in the days to come.

Ede has become the second Nigerian to own a Portuguese club after the Nigerian businessman Kunle Soname purchased Clube Desportivo Feirense back in 2015.

The Rich, the poor and the bank

1. A bank is a broker between the poor and the rich.

2. The common place where the two meet is in a bank.

3. The poor brings the money in form of savings.

4. The rich takes it, through borrowing.

5. A poor person saves the money because they have more money than their thinking capacity.

6. They keep the money in the bank so they can go and think of what to do with the money they have saved.

7. On the other side, the rich people come to pick that money, through borrowing, because they have more ideas than the money they have.

8. On a practical side, please who can show me one billionaire who got rich through saving.

9. I will show you a million Africans who have money saved in the banks and are still renting the houses that the Millionaires and billionaires build through the poor people savings which the rich borrowed from a bank.

10. I have now realised that the best savings and interests are acquired through investments and not savings.

11. It will surprise you that the only money that the rich allow in their account is minimum balance to keep it alive.
Every cash they have is seen on one investment or another.

12. Take a risk in your life, if you fail you will learn and if you succeed you will be a good example to others.

13.The only shame you must avoid is to have shame.

14. You must know that all Millionaires and Billionaires you see today were once starters.

Decide today to remove that money from your account and look for an investment to reap twice in due course

HOW PREPARE ARE WE FOR NEW REALITIES???

There was a time when all you needed to succeed was the ability to read and write English.

After that came the era of university degree. In fact, you had the chances of getting a good job with a good salary.

Then came the era of Masters and PhD. The demands of the Labour market went higher. You had to have a masters or PhD to get a good job.

Before long it became the era of foreign degrees... employers started looking for people from foreign universities.

Now that era has ended: We are now in the era of skills. What you know and what you can do with your brain or your hands. Your level of education notwithstanding; what matters right now is the skills that you have especially new age/digital skills.

So I ask you, what are you doing to remain relevant in this season? ✍🏼✍🏼

Are you still carrying your certificate up and down with obsolete knowledge?🤔🤔
Or you are still blaming the government that is not even aware of your existence?😢😢

Do you even understand that "WORK" as we knew it ten years back has changed?

Are you aware that by 2025, machines and robots would have cleaned out 800,000 jobs and new market demands will evolve?

Are you preparing for the future of work or you will cross that bridge when you get there?

It will be in your best interest to start to UNLEARN, LEARN AND RELEARN.

Invest in yourself, upgrade on a daily basis.
Pay the price.
You can't afford the price of ignorance and poverty. Its too expensive!🎯🎯```
