Don't worry, we'd not attack you but we don't want your tech goal to be like that too. So read and digest this

1️⃣ What problem do I actually want to solve?
Tech is a tool. The best developers, designers and analysts are the ones who know what they're building toward. Do you want to build products? Protect systems? Tell stories through data? Start there.

2️⃣ Am I ready to be uncomfortable for a few months?
Learning anything real feels hard before it feels easy. If you want smooth and effortless from day one, we'd be honest - this might not be the journey for you. If you can handle hard in exchange for permanent, read on.

3️⃣ Do I want to work alone or be surrounded by people building with me?
Self-learning is real. So is the 73% dropout rate that comes with it. Community, structure and mentorship changes everything. In ACA, there's all of that and more.

4️⃣ What do I want my life to look like in 12 months?

It's another Tech Tip Thursday🥳💙

You've been using the cloud your entire life. You just didn't know it had a name.

Yes, ACA issues certificates!

However, here's the part that matters and the part that actually makes our certificate worth something.

At Attueyi Coding Academy, certification isn't automatic. It's earned.

To receive your ACA certificate, you need to:

✅ Complete all required tasks and assignments
✅ Maintain a high attendance record across the cohort
✅ Actively participate in the learning process

Why do we insist on this? We're not in the business of handing out paper but in the business of producing professionals.

When an ACA graduate walks into a room with their certificate, we want it to mean something to them, to employers and to us.

The people who meet those requirements always do and they leave with more than a certificate, they leave with the skill to back it up.

Let me share a little story with you. At the beginning of the year, she made a list.

New year. New goals. Learn a digital skill to finally do something about the career she'd been putting off.

January came with energy.
February with excuses.
March with "I'll start next month." April, May - you know how it goes.

And then June arrived.

And something shifted.

Nobody talks about this enough but don't worry, we care about you so we'll do.

If you spend hours on a screen every day and as a techie, you probably do. Your eyes are working harder than you probably realise.

Here's what's happening:

Your screen emits blue light. Prolonged exposure causes digital eye strain including headaches, blurred vision, dry eyes and insomnia. Over time, it can contribute to long-term eye damage.

This is why glasses specifically blue light filtering lenses are so commonly recommended for tech professionals.

It's not just about the glasse though. Here are 3 additional habits we advise our techies to practise:

👁️ The 20-20-20 Rule : Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. It resets your eye muscles.

👁️ Adjust your screen brightness : Match it to the light in your room. A screen brighter than your environment is working your eyes harder than necessary.

👁️ Blink consciously: Screen users blink up to 60% less than normal. Dry eyes lead to strain so blink more consciously.

Your skills are your livelihood.

Your eyes make them possible. Take care of both!
