Odu'a Telecoms Ltd Onet was given licence to operate in the 5 Western States of Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun in July 2002.

Odu’a Investment Company Limited, through its newly established subsidiary, Odu’a Telecoms Limited (ODUATEL), in July 2002, applied for, and successfully won its bids for fixed wireless – 3.5GHZ licenses to operate:

Voice Telephony,
Video conferencing
Internet, Video Streaming
Virtual Private Network (VPN)
for the five South Western States of Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti. The Time Division

Multiple Access (TDMA) (3.5Ghz Spectrum) license was granted in the year 2002. This was later upgraded to the Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) (in 800 MHZ spectrum). The NCC granted this additional license in the year 2005 in order for us to get to our subscribers cheaper and faster. Our Philosophy & Objectives

The company unveiled a new logo and brand/service name from Odu’atel to O’Net on 23rd of February, 2006 with the following objectives:

Projecting O’Net as a reliable world class network
POSITIONING O’Net as a one stop election solution service provider
Projecting O’Net as a friendly telecom Company offering convenient telecom services i.e. Voice, Mobile Internet, Broadband Internet, VPN e.t.c. Offering dissatisfied subscribers of fixed wireless and wired lines with people who desire an alternative that is affordable using the CDMA2000-1X technology.
