GitHub keeps changing Copilot Code Review. Has it actually gotten better?
GitHub has been releasing Copilot Code Review updates back to back, with the latest changes arriving on September 11 and 18.
On September 11, Copilot gained the ability to use shell tools to run builds, tests, and targeted scripts during reviews.
Then came the September 18 update: “Copilot code review: An improved review experience.”
Copilot can now better track review progress, showing what’s still open, what has been resolved, and what it found later. It can also automatically resolve some comments when later commits address them.
But this didn’t start in September.
Since May, GitHub has been steadily changing Copilot Code Review — improving feedback, code analysis, review controls, and what kinds of pull requests it can handle.
So what does this actually mean for developers?
Has Copilot Code Review actually gotten better, or are we just getting more features?
If you use Copilot, have you noticed a difference?
Let us know in the comments.
