Microsoft is reportedly testing a new Windows 11 feature that automatically launches Microsoft Edge at startup in the latest beta builds according to a report by Windows Central. A prompt notifies users that the browser will open as soon as they sign in, keeping it ready for immediate use.

The change is enabled by default, so anyone who doesn’t want this behavior will need to manually turn it off. For now, the feature appears to be part of a limited experiment and may not see a wider release.
