In a world where industries like mining have long been seen as male-dominated spaces, initiatives like this are creating new possibilities for women to learn, grow, and take their place confidently within the sector. Beyond the conversations and partnerships, this is about opening doors, building capacity, and proving that women also belong in technical and industrial development. Through skills, training, and opportunity, more women are being empowered to contribute meaningfully to the future of the mining industry and national development as a whole.
On Friday in Abuja, Whitecloud TVET Solutions Limited held a strategic engagement with Women in Mining to begin discussions toward a partnership focused on empowering women through technical and vocational training within the mining sector.
The meeting brought together the Founder and National President of Women in Mining, Honorable Engineer Janet F. Adeyemi, and the Chairman of Whitecloud TVET Solutions Limited, Mr. Jasper Oluranti Netufo, as both organizations explored areas of collaboration aimed at increasing women’s participation in technical industries.
Speaking during the meeting, the Chairman of Whitecloud TVET emphasized the importance of skills acquisition in today’s Nigeria and commended ongoing efforts toward strengthening technical education and empowerment across the country.
As part of Whitecloud TVET’s commitment to women development, five training slots were offered to support women interested in acquiring practical skills within the mining sector.
Honorable Engineer Janet F. Adeyemi also reaffirmed her commitment to the advancement of women in mining, while encouraging women to embrace technical skills as a tool for empowerment, independence, and national development.
This partnership reflects a shared vision to create more opportunities for women, strengthen inclusion within technical sectors, and equip young girls with skills for a better future.
