Microsoft to release Windows 10 on July 29th - By Tim Sc*****er on June 1, 2015.

Microsoft has finally revealed that Windows 10 will officially launch on July 29th, 2015, confirming a previous statement from AMD CEO Lisa Su that suggested the operating system will launch in late July.
The release date Microsoft is targeting leaves the development team just under two months to finalize the operating system. In its current state, as seen in the Windows 10 Insider Preview build 10030, the OS is still reasonably buggy, and some minor features Microsoft are hoping to include in the final version are yet to appear. Clearly the team still has a lot of work ahead of them to get the OS in a state that's ready for the public.
The good news is that many of the applications included with Windows 10 are universal applications, meaning they can be updated through the Windows Store at a later date. Microsoft plans on shipping new Windows 10 features through universal app updates after the OS is officially launched, allowing the team to solely work on fixing issues with the current set of features.
The launch of Windows 10 on July 29th also coincides with the launch of a number of new Windows products from a range of manufacturers. Lenovo's first Windows 10 tablet will go on sale in August, while a range of other products that have been recently announced will go on sale in early Q3.

One of the best parts about my job is that I get to spend a lot of time listening to some very smart people, both internally within Cisco and externally. As we touch so many parts of the global technology industry and market, it puts me in a fantastic position to see what’s coming down the track. So, each year around this time, I take the opportunity to offer some predictions for the year ahead (which, incidentally, is Cisco’s 30th birthday).

It will probably come as no surprise that the biggest theme you’ll hear about this year is digital transformation, which is essentially underpinned by the Internet of Everything (IoE). In the next twelve months, enterprises will spend more than $40 billion globally, designing, implementing and operating the Internet of Things (IoT). Already thirty-eight percent of technology spend is outside of IT.
