Still in the spirit of Nigeria’s Independence 🇳🇬

Across our offices nationwide, our teams came together to mark the day in style; celebrating the resilience, diversity and spirit that make Nigeria who we are.

66 years of Nigeria.

66 years of dreams, challenges, resilience, progress and possibilities.

But behind every nation’s story are its people.

At GBB, our people are part of the everyday work of building a more connected Nigeria , enabling digital infrastructure, supporting government institutions, connecting communities and helping create the digital foundations for a more prosperous future. This is because nation-building is not only about milestones we celebrate; The ideas we bring; The problems we solve; The services we deliver; The citizens we ultimately serve.

Today, as Nigeria marks 66, we celebrate our people — the GBB family and everyone across Nigeria contributing, in big and small ways, to the Nigeria we all hope to see.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. 🇳🇬

From Data to Dignity. From Infrastructure to Impact.

At the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, our MD/CEO, Prof. Ibrahim A. Adeyanju, alongside the Executive Director, Digital Exploration and Technical Services, Olumbe Akinkugbe, joined other Heads of Agencies at the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE) for a series of high-level engagements focused on Nigeria’s and the global digital future.

Among the featured sessions was “From Data to Dignity: Leveraging Dynamic Social Registers for Shock-Responsive Safety Nets and SDG Acceleration,” convened by FMCIDE, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and NASSCO.

The programme also featured conversations on Nigeria’s Digital Workforce and AI at Scale: Building Intelligence on African Data, Talent and Infrastructure reflecting the growing importance of data, digital skills, artificial intelligence and infrastructure in shaping inclusive development.

For Galaxy Backbone, participation in these conversations reinforces the importance of secure, resilient and sovereign digital infrastructure as an enabler of government services, innovation and a digitally connected Nigeria.

Building the infrastructure that powers Nigeria’s digital future.
