Hon. Muhammad Abba Yarima has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election in Bakura/Maradun Federal Constituency of Zamfara State.
According tothe Chairman of the APC National Assembly primaries election committee in Zamfara, Dr. Bello Maigari, Yarima defeated Hon. Muntaqa Rini with 34,282 votes to emerge as the party’s flag bearer for the constituency in the next general election.
Speaking after the declaration, Yarima expressed gratitude to God and the people of the constituency for giving him another opportunity to represent them.
“First of all, I thank Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala for giving me this second opportunity to represent my people. My utmost gratitude also goes to the people who entrusted me with this mandate. I assure them that I will work harder to deliver more than before,” he said.
The lawmaker said the experience gained during his first tenure would help him serve the constituency better if re-elected.
“I am confident that the experience I gained during my first tenure will be an added advantage. Being a youth, I am determined to achieve more for my people. This term will mark a new chapter of progress and development aimed at making the constituency shine brighter,” he added.
Yarima also sympathised with victims of insecurity in the constituency and assured residents of continued efforts by the Federal Government to tackle the menace.
“It is unfortunate that the insecurity challenges in my constituency give me sleepless nights. We share your pain and concerns, and we will continue to do our best to overcome the situation,” he said.
