HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE LAUNCH OF THE JOBBERMAN CENTRE IN ABIA STATE!
As we continue to share highlights from the official launch of the Jobberman Centre at Innovation Growth Hub (IGHub), Aba, we bring you another key moment from the event.
We were honored to have Mr. David Kalu, Commissioner for Science and Technology, Abia State, whose presence highlighted the importance of government support in bridging the gap between digital skills training and employment opportunities.
During the event, the discussion focused on a challenge many young people face: while some successfully secure jobs after training, others struggle to transition into employment.
This is where collaboration between the government and organisations like IGHub becomes essential.
Another important point raised was the need for continuous feedback on labour market demands. Beyond training young people in popular fields such as data science, it is important to understand the skills employers actually need.
With this feedback, we can develop more relevant training programmes, better prepare young people for the workplace, and create stronger pathways to meaningful employment.
