Grateful for the music, the journey, and the opportunity to serve through it

It’s a privilege to capture moments at the Khomas100.

Such a challenging race to shoot, but incredibly rewarding. Being out there, chasing the action and capturing those moments that tell a story.

A few photos for a local veterinary practice, capturing both the posed and natural moments that showcase the people, animals and care behind what they do.

The aim was to create a collection of images that feels authentic and professional, while giving them versatile content to use across their website and social media.

Creating this piece, I had a completely different idea in mind, but as the process unfolded, it took on a life of its own.

The body of the sculpture is made from a beautiful, heavy piece of old wood my dad gave me. Layers of weathered paint, shaped by years of Swakopmund’s coastal climate, still show through, adding character and history that simply can’t be recreated.

I can imagine this piece sitting proudly in a classic old study, where its rich textures and timeless feel would be right at home. It’s a reminder that sometimes the best creations are the ones that don’t go according to plan.

Because it’s Friday, and we’d all rather be out in the ocean chasing waves, here’s my latest surfer dude sculpture. 🌊🏄

This piece reminds me of arriving at your favourite surf spot when it’s absolutely firing—the excitement, the anticipation, and that feeling when you know the waves are going to be good.

Handcrafted from reclaimed driftwood and found materials, this sculpture captures the fun and carefree spirit of surfing. It’s the perfect statement piece for a beach house or coastal-inspired home, bringing a touch of the ocean and a bit of personality to any interior.

Happy Friday! 🤙

Some images captured for a mining client, showcasing the scale of their operations and the work that keeps everything moving.

These shoots are always interesting. Working around massive mining trucks and heavy machinery challenges you to find the right angles and perspectives to truly capture their size and tell the story of the industry. It’s always rewarding to create images that highlight both the people and the equipment behind the operation.

I haven’t posted in a while, as photography and design work have kept me incredibly busy, and my sculpting and art had to take a bit of a back seat.

This year, I’ve made a conscious decision to set aside time for sculpting again, and I’m excited to share a few of the pieces I’ve created recently.

Like much of my work, this sculpture has a playful spirit. It depicts a little girl skipping rope. When I first finished the figure, I felt it was still missing something. Then the idea of adding the skipping rope came to me, and it completely transformed the piece. Suddenly, the sculpture came alive, capturing a simple childhood moment full of movement, energy, and joy.

It’s great to be creating again, and I look forward to sharing more of these pieces with you.
