Himbaface is a dynamic, highly scalable social web application for the Himba communities of Kaokoland, hosted on the Google infrastructure and deeply integrated with Google services like Youtube, Google Search, Google Maps. The Himba people live a life that has virtually not changed during the last 500 years. The basic framework of application is launched and can be accessed at http://www.himbafac

e.com or at http://himbaface.com, but it is under heavy development until the end of 2015 when we complete the major features like timeline, photos, videos, news, homestead, and instant SMS integration.

Since we launched this page on Jan 6, 2015, we have now 298 page Likes and have reached 226,769 people who read content on our page.

There are people who want to communicate with the Himba people in the videos and photos, and we also got requests for more videos. We also got requests for skype contact.

Had not slept I think for the last two days but I want to make this promise: We shall have full two-way SMS integration with the himbaface.com app by the end of Feb 2015, and full MMS integration by the end of March 2015.
