AfricaOnline Namibia and Radio Electronic have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to jointly evaluate how OneWebโs Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology could strengthen broadband connectivity across Namibia, particularly in rural, remote and geographically challenging areas where traditional infrastructure remains limited.
The collaboration will assess the technical, commercial and operational viability of satellite-enabled connectivity solutions that complement Namibiaโs existing telecommunications infrastructure, with potential applications across agriculture, mining, tourism, education, healthcare, logistics and government services.

Over the coming months, both organisations will undertake technical studies, commercial evaluations and market assessments to identify potential deployment opportunities and determine where satellite-enabled services can deliver the greatest value.
The Letter of Intent marks an important strategic milestone in exploring innovative connectivity solutions that can support Namibiaโs digital economy, strengthen national resilience and improve access to modern communications infrastructure.
