Today marks another important step towards sustainable agriculture and livestock feed production in Namibia as we continue the transplanting of Juncao grass in the Erongo Region.

Juncao is a climate-smart grass that grows well even in dry conditions, providing high-quality animal feed while helping to combat overgrazing, soil degradation, and fodder shortages. By introducing this innovative solution, we are working towards improving food security, supporting farmers, and creating sustainable agricultural opportunities for local communities.

This project represents hope for a greener and more resilient future for Namibia’s agricultural sector. Together, we can build stronger farming systems that benefit both people and the environment. 🌍🐄

🌱 Propagating Juncao Grass – Simple, Scalable, Powerful 🌱

Excited to share part of our journey with Juncao grass propagation – a game changer for sustainable agriculture and livestock feed 🌍🐄

Instead of relying on seeds, Juncao is easily propagated using stem cuttings:

As shown here, we’re using nursery bags for early-stage growth and preparing bulk cuttings for scaling. This method is:

✔ Cost-effective
✔ Fast-growing
✔ Highly scalable for farmers
✔ Ideal for fodder production and soil improvement
