In light of this development, the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has set up a 50% matching grant of up to RM5,000 to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the digital adoption costs, including the purchase of POS and accounting systems. Bhd (an authorised Technology Solution Provider under SME Business Digitalisation Grant) believes this is the best time for SMEs to transform their businesses with comprehensive digital solutions such as a cloud-based POS system to resolve business management challenges. Built on a cloud platform, digital POS system offers the advantage of accessibility from any location at any time and automates data management processes, which it then presents to users in an intuitive and easy-to-understand graphical interface that simplifies the management of sales, inventory, food cost management, or customer store database. And, as company operations scale up, the system fails to meet the new demand for increased management capacity. As Marvelsoft founder Alan Yong explains: “Marvelsoft’s cloud-based POS system simplifies processes, eliminates manual operation, and fully automates data synchronization. In addition to point-of-sale, the system includes accounting and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to aid businesses in achieving effective transactions and operations management. Since its establishment in 2003, Marvelsoft has been committed to promoting the digitalisation of local SMEs. The founding of Marvelsoft comes after Alan Yong completed a software development project as an outsourced software engineer for a Japanese company. Starting out as a company that provides expertise to customise POS software systems, the company had difficulty balancing sales and order fulfilments to scale up the business; which eventually, brought to the pivot decision to focus on providing technical service for off-the-shelf softwares. Today, Marvelsoft is the main distributor of the popular Zeoniq platform (a locally developed software), IRS, Autocount and Feedme systems. The company serves the customer bases of Malaysia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and other countries in the region. "We are not a POS system seller. Under the new digital norm brought about by the epidemic, good business tools are important for companies to succeed in today’s business environment. Food and beverage (F&B) and retail industries must take advantage of an up-to-date POS system to increase productivity while reducing workloads. In a conventional system, transactions received from take-out or e-commerce platforms had to be manually re-entered into the POS system to tally with the inventory count. This is a time-consuming and laborious process - and a sudden surge in orders can easily overwhelm the system. 自2003年创立以来，Marvelsoft致力推动本地中小型企业迈向数码化。创办人杨子超原是一名软件程序员，在完成一家日本企业的编程项目后，最终选择留在本地发展事业。起初公司销售的是自家开发的POS软件，由于无法兼顾销售和软件设计，公司转型提供POS系统技术服务为主，现为本地著名软件Zeoniq、IRS、Autocount 和 Feedme系统的主要经销商。Marvelsoft所服务的客户群遍及全马、柬埔寨、菲律宾、泰国、新加坡等区域国家。

疫情下的数码化新常态
工欲善其事，必先利其器，餐饮业和零售业还必须善用与时并进的POS 系统才能事半功倍。过去接到外卖或电商平台的订单时，所售出的餐点或商品都需要人工重新输入POS系统，以便计算库存。其实对商家而言这是一个费时费力的步骤。尤其订单激增时候，无疑是增加他们的工作量。
