Unit configuration:
After repeated comparisons of test data, the QOA acoustics team finally settled on this 8mm dual-cavity dynamic driver unit with a PU+PEEK composite diaphragm. This composite diaphragm combines extension and stability, preserving not only the power of the low frequencies but also ensuring clear and transparent mid-high frequencies.
Supplemented by four custom-designed mid-high frequency balanced armature drivers (including two composite mid-frequency balanced armature drivers and two composite high-frequency balanced armature drivers), perfectly integrated with the dynamic driver unit, significantly improving mid-high frequency extension and resulting in a smooth and transparent transition across the entire frequency range.
Tuning concept:
The QOA acoustic team utilizes a 3-way crossover technology and low-latency acoustic conduits as its core, employing both physical and electronic components for dual crossover. This allows the "Matador" to achieve a balanced performance across the entire frequency range without any weaknesses. The low frequencies are clean and responsive, while the mid and high frequencies are smooth and extended; the transitions between frequency bands are natural. The spacious and natural soundstage delivers an immersive listening experience.
