Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wireman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical wiring and experience working in various industrial settings. The Wireman will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring and equipment in accordance with safety codes and regulations
- Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints to determine wiring layouts
- Inspect and test existing wiring and identify potential issues or malfunctions
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and make necessary repairs
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while working on electrical systems and equipment
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects
- Stay updated on industry advancements and changes in electrical codes and regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Wireman or in a similar role
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to work in various industrial settings
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Working Conditions:
The Wireman will primarily work indoors in various industrial settings, which may include factories, construction sites, and commercial buildings. The job may involve working in confined spaces and at heights, as well as exposure to loud noises and potentially hazardous materials. The Wireman may also be required to work outside in varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
The Wireman must be physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in awkward positions. They must also have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle small wires and components.
