Striking Together: SUKTEM Bowling 2026 🎳

On Sunday, 26 July 2026, Shah Alam Alam Lanes came alive as 100 colleagues gathered for a memorable day of friendship, teamwork and healthy competition. More than just a sporting event, this activity offered everyone a well-deserved break from their daily routines and a chance to reconnect, strengthen bonds and create joyful memories beyond the workplace.

Participants were divided into five teams: Team Tuah, Team J***t, Team Kasturi, Team Lekir and Team Lekiu, with four players assigned to each lane. Across the neighbouring lanes, groups from different teams competed in three exciting games, with everyone determined to give their best and contribute to their team’s success.

At nearly 11.00 a.m., our Managing Director, Mr. Kong Jon Yuen officially kicked off the event by stepping forward to deliver the first bowl. From that moment, the venue was filled with cheers, laughter and encouragement. Some players quickly found their rhythm and achieved impressive scores, while others experienced a challenging start but remained determined and finished with encouraging results. Every strike brought an extra wave of excitement, as successful players earned the opportunity to exchange it for a hidden gift.

Yet, the greatest achievement of the day was not measured by the final scores alone. It was found in colleagues encouraging one another, celebrating every effort and growing closer with each frame played. The event reminded us that a strong team is built not only through the work we accomplish together, but also through shared moments of trust, resilience and joy.

Congratulations to Team Lekir, our champion, and Team Tuah, our runner-up!

To every participant, thank you for making this meaningful Sunday an unforgettable celebration of teamwork and togetherness. The scores may fade from the screen and the sound of falling pins may pass, but the friendships strengthened and memories created will remain with us.

Project Cool Comfort: A Better Space to Learn and Grow

Every student deserves a learning space where comfort can support concentration, confidence and growth.

On 15 July 2026, Tamura Electronics (M) Sdn. Bhd. visited Sekolah Kebangsaan Shah Alam's Integrated Special Education Programme (PPKI) for Project Cool Comfort, our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to sponsor air-conditioning units for its classrooms.

We understand that students in the PPKI programme have different learning needs. While air-conditioning may seem like a simple improvement, a cooler classroom can provide greater comfort throughout daily lessons and activities.

Through this sponsorship, we hope to create a more conducive space for students while supporting educators in their dedicated work.

Our team received a warm welcome from the school's representatives, educators and students. Through meaningful conversations during the visit, we gained a deeper appreciation for the patience, commitment and care involved in supporting the students every day.

The school expressed its sincere appreciation to Tamura for the sponsorship, while the students personally shared their thanks. Their thoughtful gesture reminded us that the value of giving is not measured by its size, but by the positive difference it can make in the lives of others.

While air-conditioning may be an everyday convenience for many, it represents a meaningful improvement to the classrooms where these students learn and develop. We hope the benefits of this contribution will continue to be felt for years to come.

Sometimes, the simplest moments create the most meaningful memories.

On 8 July 2026 at 5:40 PM, colleagues from different departments at Tamura Electronics (M) Sdn. Bhd. came together for a delightful Durian Party. The gathering offered everyone a pleasant break from their daily routines and a chance to enjoy Malaysia’s beloved “King of Fruits” together.

The event began with a brief speech by our Managing Director, Mr. Kong Jon Yuen, who spoke about the importance of building good relationships and creating meaningful opportunities for colleagues to connect beyond their daily work.

Following the opening remarks, everyone enjoyed a selection of delicious durians in a relaxed and friendly setting. Durians were passed from one colleague to another as conversations flowed naturally around the tables. Colleagues from different departments interacted, exchanged stories, and spent a memorable evening together.

Group photographs captured the warmth and togetherness of the occasion. Colleagues also received specially prepared durian packs to bring home and share with their families, extending the enjoyment beyond the workplace.

While durian brought everyone together, it was the conversations, connections, and memories created that made the evening truly special.

Dear Valued Tamura Followers,

We are pleased to share the success of our CSR Blood Donation Program, held on 25 June 2026 at Tamura Electronics (M) Sdn. Bhd.

This meaningful initiative reflects our commitment to supporting healthcare and contributing to the well-being of the community. Guided by the belief that "One bag of blood can save lives," we continue to encourage acts of kindness that make a meaningful difference.

Before the donation program commenced, our Managing Director, Mr. Kong Jon Yuen, officiated the opening ceremony, demonstrating the company's strong support for this noble cause and commitment to community care.

We are proud to announce that 46 bags of blood were successfully collected, achieving 92% of our target of 50 bags. This accomplishment was made possible through the generosity, dedication, and support of all donors, volunteers, and organizing members.

Compared with our previous Blood Donation Program held on 6 January 2026, donor participation increased from 62 to 67 donors, while successful blood collections rose from 34 bags to 46 bags. Our achievement rate improved significantly from 68% to 92%, reflecting the growing spirit of compassion, unity, and social responsibility within the Tamura family.

Every bag of blood collected represents hope and an opportunity to save lives. Your willingness to step forward and help those in need is truly inspiring. It is more than a donation—it is a meaningful act of care, kindness, and humanity.

🏓 Tamura Malaysia 1H2026 Suktem Pickleball Event 🏓

On 12 April 2026, Tamura Malaysia proudly hosted its 1H2026 Suktem event, marking the company’s first-ever pickleball event. Held at PickleX, Shah Alam, our event organiser and venue partner, the well‑equipped courts provided an ideal setting for a fun and engaging day. The event aimed to bring colleagues together through sports while promoting teamwork, inclusiveness, and a healthy lifestyle 🌱.

From early morning, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, especially as many employees were trying pickleball for the first time 🎉. Before play began, a PickleX trainer briefed participants on basic rules, safety guidelines, and gameplay to ensure everyone could join confidently.

A total of six PickleX courts were booked, with four courts for tournament matches and two courts for training and warm‑up sessions. Employees were encouraged to practise and warm up while waiting, creating an energetic and supportive environment.

The event brought together 40 participants, divided into five groups of eight members with varying skill levels. The tournament featured men’s doubles and mixed doubles categories. Before the first round, the judge re‑explained the rules and allowed a short warm‑up. Each match lasted 15–20 minutes, with the first team to reach 15 points declared the winner ⏱.

Originating in the United States in the 1960s, pickleball blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, making it easy to learn and beginner‑friendly. Throughout the matches, colleagues encouraged one another, fostering a friendly and positive atmosphere 🤝.

Despite sore arms and tired legs, smiles never faded 😊. Group Kasturi and Group Lekir impressed with strong teamwork and calm communication and were crowned joint champions 🏆. The event concluded with everyone leaving the PickleX courts tired but happy, with fond memories and stronger connections beyond the game.

Dear Tamura Followers,

Looking back at our event on 15 January 2026, our company had the privilege of hosting a Cheque Presentation Ceremony with the Hua Ming Autism Society, an organization dedicated to supporting children with autism and their families. More than a formal occasion, it was a heartfelt gathering that celebrated compassion, community, and shared responsibility.

The day began with warm greetings and introductions, reflecting the spirit of partnership and mutual respect. Our HR General Manager, Mr. Siva, then delivered an appreciation speech, thanking the Hua Ming Autism Society for their commitment to creating a nurturing environment for children with autism and reaffirming our company’s dedication to social responsibility.

One of the most inspiring moments was the sharing session led by the Society’s President, Mr. Moh. He spoke about the organization’s journey, the challenges faced, and the innovative approaches used to help children thrive. His insights into parenting, education, and emotional support were deeply valuable.

Equally touching were the family sharing sessions, where parents spoke openly about their experiences and their children’s unique journeys. Their stories highlighted resilience, love, and the importance of community support.

The highlight of the day was the cheque presentation—a gesture that symbolized our commitment to meaningful causes and our hope for a brighter future for children with autism.

The event concluded with a casual tea session that encouraged warm conversations, followed by a group photo capturing smiles, unity, and togetherness.

This ceremony reaffirmed the power of partnership and empathy. By working with the Hua Ming Autism Society, we strengthen our belief that corporate responsibility goes beyond business—it changes lives and builds communities. We look forward to continuing this journey of support and collaboration.

As we look back on 6 January 2026, we’re proud to highlight the success of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, where we organized a meaningful Blood Donation Program to give back to the community.
