When nature, culture and industry work together sustainability becomes a living system.

Netseco was honoured to be part of the Third International Conference on Kuala Sepetang, held in conjunction with World Mangrove Day, alongside UCSI University and Look Port Weld (看见十八丁).

Bringing together researchers, policymakers, industry representatives and communities from Malaysia, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and beyond, the conference explored Kuala Sepetang as a remarkable example of how mangrove conservation, traditional charcoal production, cultural heritage and community livelihoods can coexist for more than 120 years.

Kuala Sepetang reminds us that sustainability is not only about protecting the environment — it is about understanding the relationship between ecosystems, people, traditions and economic resilience.

The future of sustainability lies in building systems where nature is valued, communities are empowered, and industries evolve responsibly.
