The State Government, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (“KDEB”), has a 30% stake in KJS. KJS signed a Management Services Agreement with the State Government of Selangor on 17 December 1999 to coordinate the planning, implementation and maintenance of the telecommunication infrastructure services in Selangor for 30 years. KJS in essence functions as a one-stop agenc

y (OSA) for processing all applications relating to telecommunications infrastructure development. KJS also builds and leases communication structures to commercial telecommunication providers. Its primary role as the lead coordinator in respect of planning, implementation and maintenance of the telecommunication infrastructure services in Selangor, has elevated KJS to be in a good position to advise the State and its authorities on new developments in the industry and implement coordinated development of telecommunication utilities.
