XOX To Invest RM1 Million To Revive ICT Digital Mall At Komtar
Mobile service operator, XOX Bhd is investing some RM1 million to renovate, promote and revive level one of the ICT Digital Mall at Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak (Komtar).
Group Chief Executive Officer Ng Kok Heng said XOX Retail Sdn Bhd, which is a subsidiary of XOX, will be occupying 4,900 sq ft at the first floor of the mall.
He said the group planned to set up 18 kiosks and nine shops which are already available for rent.
"XOX is now offering kiosks for young entrepreneurs, with attractive rental package to set up their business. Over 30 per cent of the kiosks and shops has been booked," he told reporters here Thursday.
He said the renovation of the first floor is ongoing and it was expected to open for business by June this year.
"We also hope to achieve full occupancy during our opening ceremony in June and early birds will get better discount," he said.
Earlier, Ng also inked a memorandum of understanding with ICT Digital Mall Komtar, Senior Marketing Executive, Josephine Joseph, to work together to promote the mall.
Joseph said the collaboration would help both parties to work closely to achieve the goal of being the largest and cheapest IT retail service provider in northern region.
"Each side will create many significant activities, events and promotions to cater to consumer needs," she said.
XOX, established in 2005, has been listed on Bursa Malaysia since the middle of 2011.
