Chee Wei builds the memory most chatbot users never get to see — the files and rules that keep an AI from forgetting your project once the conversation runs long.

He learned why the hard way: a prompt he’d carefully written worked perfectly for two hours, then the AI forgot every word of it. Not because the prompt got worse. Because it had quietly expired.

Rolling our way to victory!

Last Friday, the HTC Sport & Social Club hit the bowling lanes for what started as a friendly and fun bowling competition. That’s what we thought at first… until the competition started heating up! 🔥

With the game ending only with 4 points difference between the first and second place. 🏆

Amidst the competitive spirit, passion to win, and plenty of laughter over every gutter ball, the bowling event brought colleagues together, strengthened bonds, and created connections across different departments. Most importantly, it gave everyone the chance to step away from work, have fun, and create great memories together.

Grateful to everyone who joined, brought along their families, cheered from the sidelines, and helped make the event such a memorable one! 🎉

For Yong Tian, a Statistics student, the first month was more labelling than coding, learning that data quality decides how a model performs.

From making a simple data mistake that affected model performance, to discovering that clear communication and teamwork matter just as much as technical skills, his experience offers an honest look at what working in AI is really like.

You don’t need the “right” degree to start. You need curiosity, attention to detail, and the willingness to check your own work.

Fawwaz didn't start in tech. He started in a physics lab at Universiti Malaya, chasing particles most people will never see. Today, he leads HTC's AI team.

When he went back to UM this year to talk to physics students about the switch, here's the part that surprised the room most:

"Creating a model is just one third, or a small portion, of the whole thing. From nine to lunch hour, you'll be spending more time on cleaning your data."

📕 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀. 📕

An interview isn't just questions and answers. It's a reading, and it starts before you say a word.

For the past ten years, I've sat beside my hiring managers, not asking the questions, just watching.

The handshake. How someone settles into the chair. Where their eyes go when they walk in.

A weak handshake, what I call "fish cold," tells us something. So does whether you're scanning the room, or fixed on the one person you've decided matters most.

It doesn't matter if this is your first interview or your fifteenth. The room is reading you long before the first question lands, and so is whoever else happens to be sitting quietly beside the person asking it.

✨🌟The Next Generation Is Already Showing Up🌟✨

On 20 June 2026, our CEO Vanessa Tan represented PIKOM at the FET Future-Enabled Talent Bootcamp: Campus to Career at Sunway University, a one-day employability programme for over 500 engineering and technology undergraduates.

She facilitated a workshop titled Beyond the Grade: How to Make Your Experience Your Greatest Interview Asset.

The premise: grades are the starting line, not the finish line. The candidates who stand out in an interview room are not always those with the highest GPA. Rather, they are the ones who know how to own their experiences and talk about them clearly.

Vanessa has spent the last ten years building teams and observing interviews from the other side of the table. What she wanted students to leave with was this: the projects they have completed, the internships they have done, the problems they have tried to solve – these are their greatest assets.

What stood out at the FET Bootcamp was how participative the students were. Many are still in their second or third year, with internships and first interviews still ahead of them. Yet they showed up, engaged fully, and threw themselves into discussions. That kind of readiness is exactly what the industry hopes to find.

At HT Consulting, we have long held that supporting Malaysia’s technology future means being present in these rooms, not just at the hiring stage.
