Responsibilities:

•​Making technical presentations and demonstrating how company’s platform will meet clients’ needs either online or face-to-face

Digitalisation for Haulage

Improving efficiency for a haulage company might be easier than one may think, as Ms Robyn Wong of Ability Scope Sdn Bhd reports.

"The LinkHaul service was introduced to us by one of my haulage service providers: Vertex Mission Sdn Bhd; all the while this haulage company already had their own portal (Asolute system) for job submission and monitoring through their portal website. This alone is already a difference compared to other haulage companies where we still managing ROT (Request of Transport) via email. Mr Yeoh Hock Heng (Executive Director) from VM Haulage called me personally and introduced me to the LinkHaul.net system.

In the beginning, I am at the stage to give a try for this system and see what it could do to ease our daily operations as a forwarder. When I was first introduced to the system, the most attractive point to me is that they will generate e-CN for the customer which eventually replaced the hardcopy CN that we have normally been using until now. Although this has not been implement 100% as it takes some time for the changes to be implemented; the industry has been well taught by using hard copy CN. There are also some challenges whereby the customer hardly cooperates with us in terms what is the status, or foreign workers who are handling the receiving of the container etc.

I found this idea of using Linkhaul interesting as at that time we just started suffering from the Covid-19. Using e-CN, the driver and receiver from the warehouse can reduce physical contact. It is one of the ways to reduce spreading the virus. From here, I started the journey with LinkHaul. After using it for a few months, I am grateful for getting a chance to meet up with Mr See Soon An (Founder) from LinkHaul and to get to know the intention of their team to come up with this system. Mr See has been in the shipping / logistics industry for years; with his experience throughout all the years in the industry, he created this system."

Go Digital to Improve Safety and Efficiency at Ports, Urge Association of Malaysian Hauliers

Digitalization by Hauliers and Freight Fowarders Key to Improve Supply Chain Resilience During Pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic with the lockdown orders in Malaysia and around the world has given rise to new challenges for ports, hauliers and freight forwarders, and urgency must be given to digitalization of processes to overcome these challenges, says the Association of Malaysian Hauliers (AMH).

Soo Chee Yeong, President of AMH said, “Digital transformation by logistic players in the import and export industry is important to resolve the turmoil currently faced by ports and supply chains to ensure safety, efficiency and productivity. We have observed that ports and its supporting industries that invest in automation and digitalization have benefited from increased resilience over the past year”.

Soo added that both Port Klang’s ports are still congested, especially during the government-imposed Movement Control Order (MCO) and the National Recovery Phase 1 lockdown that is still in force in Selangor, and he urged freight forwarders and hauliers to migrate from manual processes to paperless systems like LinkHaul so that supply chain disruptions caused by lockdowns can be reduced and efficiency at ports can be improved.

“The past year has been very trying for hauliers and freight forwarders. Not only are their business operations disrupted by the pandemic, but they also need to constantly ensure the safety of their workers and compliance to the government-ordered standard operating procedures (SOPs). By harnessing the use of technology where data is real-time and easily accessed via an app that comes equipped with QR code scanning and a secure payment gateway, time consuming and manual processes that require physical contact can be done away with. This will also help reduce the risk of Covid-19 virus transmission among workers”, said See Soon-An, Managing Director of Link Effect (M) Sdn Bhd, which developed the LinkHaul system.

Act as a contact between the customer and internal staff for all support activities
Provide first level sales support and advice to customers of our product’s functionalities and features

Responsible for developing business opportunities and achieve assigned targets
