Towed in dead, driving out smooth. Another successful hybrid rescue at Autodrive Resources Sdn Bhd in Miri! 🚗⚡

This Audi A6 C7 Hybrid arrived at our specialist workshop on a tow truck after the engine completely refused to start.

The Diagnosis:
We ran a deep diagnostic scan and traced the root cause to severe hybrid system communication and temperature faults, specifically pulling codes for Drive Motor Performance (P0A9000), Power Module System Voltage (P0A8B00), and the EV Electronics Coolant Pump (P0CEC00).
The Solution:

Instead of just replacing the entire expensive unit, we applied our high-voltage expertise to get to the component level:

* Inverter Repair: We dismantled the unit and performed a precision repair on the inverter internals to restore proper voltage and communication to the drive motor.

* Water Pump Replacement: The video highlights just how critical the cooling system is for these high-voltage components. The failing water pump was replaced and passed the function test on the cooling system.

The Result:
The engine starts up effortlessly, the hybrid system is fully functional, and the Audi is back on the road where it belongs.

🔌 Successful EV On-Board Charger (OBC) Repair & Bench Test! ⚡

Just finished up a high-voltage repair on an EV On-Board Charger (OBC) that came in with a complaint of not charging the main battery.

In this video, we are running it through its paces on our dedicated OBC tester here at Autodrive Resources Sdn Bhd.

Instead of just guessing if the repair worked, we simulate the charging process on the bench.

You can see the voltage ramp up to over 405V under load, confirming the unit is communicating properly with the controller, outputting the correct charging voltage, and is completely ready to be safely reinstalled in the vehicle. 🚗💨

🎉 Two-Day Multimeter Technical Training Successfully Completed!

Following yesterday’s Day 1 – Fundamentals of Multimeter, today we moved into Day 2 – Sensor Measurement, taking the use of the multimeter into deeper automotive electrical and electronic diagnostics.

Yesterday, participants learned:

🔹 Basic multimeter functions and correct operation
🔹 Basic voltage and resistance measurements
🔹 Correct electrical testing procedures
🔹 How to understand system conditions through measurement

Today, we went one step further with:

🔧 Sensor Measurement & Testing
📊 Sensor Signal Measurement
⚡ Voltage and signal analysis
🔍 Sensor circuit testing
🚗 Practical automotive electronic system testing
🧠 Using measurement data to identify potential problems

The training combined simulation modules, real automotive components and practical testing equipment, allowing participants to measure, test and analyse for themselves instead of relying only on classroom theory.

We want participants to understand that:

A multimeter is not simply a tool for measuring electricity.

Who would have thought that such a small tool could offer so many useful functions?

Today’s training was not simply about learning how to use a multimeter. More importantly, participants learned how to understand measurements and apply them to real diagnostic work.
