12 June 2026, SACOFA Sdn Bhd hosted its 2026 Client Networking Hi-Tea in Kuala Lumpur, reaffirming the company's commitment to strengthening relationships with clients, industry partners and key stakeholders within Malaysia's telecommunications and digital ecosystem.

The event was attended by YB Dato Sri Haji Julaihi bin Haji Narawi, Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak and Chairman of SACOFA, who delivered the keynote address where he emphasised that SACOFA would continue to strengthen its role as the backbone of Sarawak’s digital infrastructure ecosystem. The programme also featured a welcoming speech by SACOFA's Chief Executive Officer, highlighting the importance of collaboration in driving innovation, digital connectivity and sustainable industry growth.

The networking session brought together representatives from government agencies, telecommunications providers, technology companies and business partners, providing an avenue for meaningful engagement and knowledge exchange. Last month, SACOFA welcomed a courtesy visit from the Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarters, Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) held to discuss matters related to law prevention and vandalism. The engagement served as a platform to strengthen collaboration and foster mutual understanding in addressing public safety concerns, particularly in relation to preventive measures against criminal activities and vandalism cases.

The delegation was led by SAC Lim San Aik, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, accompanied by ACP Mohd Ishak bin Yaakob, Deputy Head of CID (R/O), DSP Tay Chew Thwa, Staff Officer D4, ASP Sumarno Lamundi, Intelligence and Operations Officer D4 and SJN Haslan bin Sirat, Detective from D4. During the visit, both parties held discussions on current trends in vandalism cases, preventive enforcement strategies and areas of cooperation to enhance community safety and crime deterrence efforts. Views were also exchanged on improving operational coordination and information sharing to support more effective law enforcement initiatives.

The courtesy visit reflects SACOFA’s commitment to strengthening strategic relationships with enforcement agencies in ensuring public safety and maintaining order within the community.

AZAM Sarawak Teroka Peluang Kerjasama Strategik Bersama SACOFA

Dalam usaha memperluaskan jaringan kerjasama strategik, Angkatan Zaman Mansang (AZAM) Sarawak telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke SACOFA Sdn. Bhd., peneraju infrastruktur telekomunikasi dan komunikasi digital di Sarawak, bagi meneroka peluang kolaborasi yang mampu memperkasa agenda komunikasi digital, pembangunan modal insan dan pembangunan bakat di negeri ini.

Pertemuan tersebut menjadi platform kepada kedua-dua organisasi untuk bertukar pandangan mengenai potensi kerjasama dalam pelbagai bidang, termasuk komunikasi strategik, literasi digital, pembangunan kepimpinan belia, inovasi teknologi serta pelaksanaan inisiatif berimpak tinggi yang menyokong aspirasi pembangunan Sarawak. Dalam sesi tersebut, AZAM turut berkongsi hala tuju baharu organisasi sebagai sebuah organisasi komunikasi yang memberi penekanan kepada komunikasi strategik, pembangunan kandungan digital serta pendekatan Komunikasi Partisipatori (Participatory Communication). AZAM juga memperkenalkan beberapa inisiatif strategik yang sedang dilaksanakan, termasuk Premier of Sarawak Debate Challenge Cup 2026 sebagai platform memperkasa kepimpinan, komunikasi dan pemikiran kritis dalam kalangan generasi muda.

Delegasi AZAM diketuai oleh Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Encik Ali bin Suhaili, bersama barisan pegawai eksekutif AZAM, manakala pihak SACOFA diketuai oleh Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Mr. Jafer Sadig Abdul Lathiff, bersama barisan pengurusan kanan syarikat. Kunjungan ini mencerminkan komitmen kedua-dua organisasi untuk terus meneroka peluang kerjasama strategik yang mampu memberi nilai tambah kepada pembangunan masyarakat, memperkukuh ekosistem digital negeri serta menyokong usaha melahirkan modal insan yang kompeten, berdaya saing dan bersedia menghadapi cabaran masa hadapan.

Last week, SACOFA welcomed delegates from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Multimedia University (MMU) for a courtesy visit aimed at exploring potential collaboration opportunities in talent development, professional training and industry-academia engagement.

The delegation was led by Mr. Scott Kueh, Director of MCMC Kuching Branch, accompanied by Ms. Ruhazila Abidin and Ms. Nur Adlina Hosni, Deputy Directors from MCMC's Human Capital Division. Representatives from MMU included Dr. Bahma Sivasubramaniam, Senior Lecturer and Organising Chairman II of the CTPR Masterclass 2026; Prof. Puan Indahsah Sidek, Advisor of the CTPR Masterclass 2026; and Pn. SACOFA recently welcomed a courtesy visit from representatives of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain to discuss targeted economic and digital partnership opportunities.

The delegation was led by Mr Juan Guía García, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of Spain in Kuala Lumpur. He was joined by Mr Jordi Pol, Managing Director of BCN Smart Technologies, Ms Maria de Lluc Ortiz, International Trade and Investment Advisor, and Mr Mauro Rodriguez, International Trade and Investment Advisor.

The meeting provided a forum for both parties to share perspectives and identify partnership prospects, particularly to advance digital transformation and enhance economic ties.
