This is what happened when you use simple password out of convenience.

We always receive phishing emails from random senders. These are hacked accounts.

With the advancement in computing power, a simple password could be cracked in minutes. So a good password: minimum 12 characters, UPPERs, lowers, numbers plus special characters.

In our company, we take a few more steps - random generated password, MFA (multi factor authentication), bio authentication, system access notifications & more.

We take this very seriously because we govern hundreds of client's devices.

Recently we did a "messy" job for a client -- re-arranging and tidy up all cables in network rack. With 2 days timeframe given, this is the best we can do. Now, at a glance, we know which cable goes where and which equipment is giving problem. AND we did find problems and reported it before serious damage happens!
