A digital certificate can be easy to overlook until it expires.

An expired certificate may lead to browser security warnings, connection issues, or service disruption, depending on where and how it is used.

And when certificates are spread across websites, APIs, applications, cloud services, and connected devices, keeping track of every expiry date becomes increasingly challenging.

That’s why certificate management should go beyond renewal reminders.

Discover → Issue → Deploy → Monitor → Renew

Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) helps businesses improve visibility and manage certificates more consistently throughout their lifecycle.

Certificates expire. Trust shouldn’t.

The Future of Digital Trust: Turning Conversations into Action

A successful morning of meaningful conversations, thought-provoking questions, and valuable industry insights.

On 8 October, Web.Plus and DigiCert brought enterprise leaders together for The Future of Digital Trust – AI, Quantum Readiness & the 47-Day Challenge at Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.

From banking and insurance to oil & gas, the discussions highlighted the growing challenges organisations face in securing their digital environments. Questions around AI agent identity, certificate lifecycle automation, the transition to 47-day TLS certificate validity, and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness reflected a clear need for greater visibility, stronger security, and proactive planning.

What made the session particularly meaningful was the level of engagement from our guests. The thoughtful questions, open exchanges, and positive feedback reinforced the importance of bringing industry leaders together to discuss not just emerging threats, but practical ways to prepare for what lies ahead.

A sincere thank you to our speakers, Mike Nelson , Global VP – Field CTO at DigiCert, and Chris Siah, Regional VP, Southeast Asia at DigiCert, and all our enterprise guests for sharing your perspectives and making this discussion a valuable one.

We would also like to thank DigiCert for the partnership in advancing digital trust and helping organisations navigate an increasingly complex security landscape.

The future of digital trust starts with the right conversations today.

Digital Trust is becoming a business priority.

As organisations rely more heavily on digital platforms, cloud environments, online identities, and connected services, trust becomes essential to every interaction.

Strong Digital Trust is built through:

🔐 Secure digital identities and access
🌐 Well-managed domains and digital assets
📜 Visibility across certificate lifecycles
🛡️ Protection against online threats and brand abuse
⚙️ Security practices that evolve with emerging risks

It goes beyond cybersecurity. It supports business continuity, customer confidence, and stronger digital operations.

Building Digital Trust starts with understanding what needs to be protected and managing it consistently.

Cybersecurity in 2026 isn't only about keeping attackers out.

AI is changing both cyberattacks and cyber defence. Workforces and applications are increasingly distributed. Data privacy is becoming more closely connected with security. And digital identities now extend beyond people to applications, machines and AI agents.

So, what should businesses be preparing for?

Our latest article explores 4 security trends shaping 2026:

AI Security • Zero Trust • Data Privacy • Identity Security

And more importantly, the practical areas organisations can start reviewing today.

100 days. Then 47 days. Is your certificate management ready?

As publicly trusted TLS certificate lifecycles become shorter, organisations may need to manage certificate issuance, deployment and replacement more frequently.

For teams managing certificates across applications, servers, APIs and cloud environments, relying heavily on manual tracking can make certificate lifecycle management increasingly demanding.

Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) can help organisations improve visibility, streamline processes and introduce automation across the certificate lifecycle.

As certificate lifecycles get shorter, is your organisation still relying on manual processes, or moving towards lifecycle automation?

Don’t just manage certificates. Manage the lifecycle.

Why do citizens ignore local council apps?

Sometimes, the problem isn't the technology.

It's the experience.

If residents need to jump between different platforms, search through complicated menus or use an app that doesn't help them complete a real task, adoption becomes difficult.

A better question for local authorities is:

“What are residents trying to get done?”

From payments and applications to complaints and tracking, digital services should reduce friction, not create another layer of it.

That's why the future of local government apps isn't about adding more features.

It's about creating a simpler, more connected service experience.

Why Do Citizens Ignore Local Council Apps?

What if AI could help our parents live independently?

And what if the same technology could also expose them to new risks?

Our CEO, TK Tan, recently spoke to Bernama about how AI, IoT and smart-home technology could support older people in their daily lives.

From smart appliances that can help identify changes in daily routines to AI-powered assistance that could make everyday tasks easier, technology has the potential to help seniors remain in the homes and communities they know.

But there is another side to this conversation.

Being able to use technology does not necessarily mean knowing how to stay safe online.

Many older people are now comfortable using smartphones, social media and video calls to stay connected with their families. Yet they may still be vulnerable to financial scams, suspicious messages or unfamiliar digital processes.

This raises an important question for all of us:

How do we recognise when our parents are becoming vulnerable to digital risks, and how do we help them before something goes wrong?

Technology should not simply be handed to people and left to figure out themselves.

We need to educate, guide and protect as technology becomes a bigger part of everyday life.

Because digital technology doesn't only affect our businesses.

It affects the people around us, including our parents and the older generation we care about.

A council website is only the beginning of digital transformation.

Today, residents expect more than access to information. They want everyday interactions with their local council to be simpler, more accessible and more connected.

From making payments and submitting applications to reporting issues, tracking requests and receiving updates the experience should feel seamless, not fragmented across multiple platforms.

That’s the idea behind Komuniti+.

One App. One Account. One simpler way to connect with your council.
Watch to see how connected digital services can create a better experience for communities.
