The birth of Matchbox Studio was truly a synergy of multiple creative and artistic planes. Founded by Foo Chiwei with the aspirations to bring design concepts that intrigue the mind and feed the soul, Matchbox Studio’s underlying philosophy brilliantly mirrors that of its founder’s – a true thespian of sorts. A multiple award-winning designer with a big penchant in typography, Foo is an authentic

artist with vast experience in culture and arts. From the sophistication of classical Indian dance to the dramatics of fringe festivals, Foo’s immersive knowledge and passion for the arts and what art can potentially do for design is evident in the works portrayed by Matchbox Studio.
