We are pleased to have launched our first internal learning initiative of the year, focused on Kubernetes. This effort is part of an in-house program developed by our subject matter experts, building on previous segments that explored topics such as AI Agent Development, Model Context Protocol, AI, and Regression Models, among others.

These learning experiences combine both theory and practical application in a concise, focused format, and are designed to make continuous learning more accessible.

Our pilot workshop, led by Imran Sheikh, delivered a comprehensive introduction to Kubernetes architecture and key deployment concepts commonly applied in real-world environments. Participants gained valuable insights into how Kubernetes components function cohesively, as well as how containerized applications are deployed and managed at scale.

The program also incorporated hands-on elements, enabling participants to engage directly with basic deployment practices and cluster interactions. This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning, empowering our consultants to continually enhance their technical capabilities.

At Arvato Systems Malaysia, we believe diversity is more than a value—it’s our strength. Our recent Cultural Day brought this belief to life through a vibrant and engaging celebration of the many cultures that make up our workplace.

Organised by our Corporate Responsibility team, the event featured three interactive segments. Colleagues representing 10 nationalities shared insights into their home countries, from cuisine and customs to traditional attire.

This was followed by a lively Slido quiz that tested participants’ knowledge and added a competitive twist. The session concluded with a fun silent karaoke session, where teams guessed songs from across cultures.

The great turnout, both in-person and online, reflected the enthusiasm of our teams. More importantly, it reinforced the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

Initiatives like Cultural Day are essential in fostering understanding, inclusion, and camaraderie—helping us grow stronger together as one Arvato Systems community.

Recently, our Arvato Systems Malaysia Service Operations Director, Jeremy Nyam, delivered a guest lecture at Universiti Putra Malaysia, offering students a practical view of cybersecurity “beyond the textbook,” grounded in real-world business impact. Drawing from his role managing incidents and advising stakeholders, he shared a perspective focused on what happens when systems fail—and the decisions that follow.

He highlighted how cybersecurity has evolved far beyond classroom concepts. Traditional approaches such as spam filters, malware signatures, and cryptography are increasingly challenged by AI-driven threats, with attackers leveraging AI to generate personalised phishing, polymorphic malware, and scalable social engineering campaigns.

Through interactive scenarios, students saw how modern attacks unfold—from AI-generated scams to deepfake-enabled compromise—reinforcing that breaches often stem not only from technical gaps, but also from failures in process, verification, and human decision-making.

Anchoring his session in Malaysia’s context, Jeremy also highlighted the rise in scam activity and risks such as mule account recruitment, making the topic immediate and relevant. He concluded with career guidance, encouraging students to build real projects, gain hands-on experience, and communicate business impact effectively.

With strong demand for cybersecurity talent, his message was clear: start early, stay curious, and keep adapting. At Arvato Systems Malaysia, we are proud to play a part in shaping and supporting the next generation on their journey.

Special thanks to Dr. Alfian Bin Abdul Halin, PhD, Senior Lecturer; Multimedia Department (Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology) at Universiti Putra Malaysia for the liaison and we look forward to continuous collaborations to come in furthering the impact of cybersecurity education for the future generation.

What do young talents and soon-to-be graduates truly seek in a full-time role or internship? This was the question at the heart of our recent experience at the APU Mega Career Fair, one of the most anticipated career fair events hosted by Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation - APU.

Our team was proud to be on the ground, engaging directly with driven, curious, and ambitious students eager to shape their future. In conjunction with World Health Day, our Corporate Responsibility social group hosted the first Global Sharing Session of the year, bringing together speakers from Arvato Systems Malaysia, Romania, Latvia, and Germany to explore what it means to stay healthy and fit as IT professionals.

The session featured personal journeys and practical tips—from choosing workouts you love, starting small, and balancing exercise with nutrition, to incorporating movement into daily routines.

Through the inspiring sharing, participants were reminded that prioritizing health is both achievable and impactful. Sessions like these continue to strengthen connections across regions while encouraging holistic learning beyond technical expertise.

Our gratitude goes out to our amazing speakers, Alexis Lo, Adrian Iaurum, Agnis Salucka and Matthias Landwehr for taking time out to conduct the sessions with our colleagues who tuned in across Germany, Latvia, Malaysia and Romania.

Special thanks to our Corporate Responsibility team for organizing this meaningful and engaging session!

As part of our ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, Arvato Systems Malaysia is honored to once again partner with Zoo Negara Malaysia in giving back to the community.

Through the Glow Project, our team contributed to enhancing the Children’s World area by removing mold from the building walls and applying fresh coats of turquoise paint. These efforts helped create a cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming environment for visitors, especially children and families.

The day became even more meaningful with the participation of youths from Mary's Orphanage. Through the Kancil Ranger Programme, they had the opportunity to learn about animals and conservation up close, while exploring and building a deeper connection with nature.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Alexandra Heine, Arvato Systems Chief Financial Officer, for taking the time to support this initiative. Special thanks to the Corporate Responsibility Social Group committee for organising the effort, and to all our Arvatorians who generously volunteered their time.

What may seem simple goes beyond a fresh coat of paint, creating a space where the next generation can learn, explore, and carry a lasting impression with them.
