"It's the year 2022, and perhaps it is near-safe to say that we are at the post-pandemic stage!

However, many businesses, particularly SME business owners have yet to recover from the downfall that had struck them when the COVID-19 hit, not to mention the implementation of MCOs. Ever since the pandemic hit us hard, many have shifted towards online purchasing, which supported the growth of Malaysia's e-commerce market.

According to the latest recorded data from the Department of Statistics, Malaysia’s e-commerce value in 2020 soared by 33% to RM896bil after registering an income of RM675bil in 2019. World Bank data also shows that before the pandemic, Malaysian businesses were under-performing in their digitalisation efforts - Around a saddening 77% of SMEs in Malaysia remain at the basic digitalisation stage.

One thing is for sure: Many SMEs are still ill-equipped to make the transition towards digitalisation.

Findings of the survey conducted by SME Corp and Huawei showed that 60% of business owners do not know about financing options and 34% thought that cloud computing is expensive. Another study by Siemens Malaysia last year found that 50% of SMEs are not prepared to adopt new norms of remote working due to difficulties related to infrastructure and systems, including Internet connectivity.

Truth be told, the correct usage of social media and targeting the right audience would turn the tide! Research suggests that SMEs that leverage social media experienced a rise in productivity by 26% while those that penetrated into e-commerce saw productivity grow by 27%.

Hence, we strongly advise every SMEs to urgently look into having their businesses be digitalised, in order to stay ahead of their ever-competitive industry.

But what happens when there is an EEO a.k.a. Equal Employment Opportunity among ALL Employees together with their Employers? Will there be certain benefits to some while unavoidably, disadvantages to the others?
To sum it up, what are the Pros and Cons of having an EEO-friendly workplace? We've surveyed many people in the workforce, both Employers and Employees alike, on their take on having an EEO workplace.
What we have found out though... perhaps it will somehow surprise you! Have a look for yourself. 🤓

Everyone hates office politics (we do, too!). Whether you work for an employer that doesn't care for its employees or simply you are the one spreading the bad vibes around, slowly things will turn toxic and unbearable for all! 😣
We've been talking a lot about having a diversified workplace but... is it really important though?
Some may even ask, how can people from different backgrounds come together to work in the same company? Wouldn't it be the start of a fight? Probably a starting point for misunderstanding, even! Well... let's just say that it is the complete opposite of things! 🤗

Imagine a workplace full of employers, somewhat from a similar background: race, language, background, etc. Would you be able to improve the skills of everyone when they are practical to have the same mindset?
Compare the above scenario to a company where they have people from different backgrounds, speak different languages, have different skillsets to apply on the job, and have different ideas to contribute to your team?

We're so sure that about a decade ago, a majority of employers would only hire a whole bunch of workers from a certain specific background and this applies to all levels and yet such a scene is still present in today's workforce. Does this still work though? 🤷‍♂️
As far as cultural diversity goes, we have researched through the ups and downs and found out that there are countless benefits companies would gain if they consider going for a larger pool of candidates, regardless of their race, religion, background, and so forth.
Let us tell you why should consider expanding your search for employees in a more diversified way! 👍

"More and more employers are starting to implement WFH policies, to suit today's needs in the workforce. As the pandemic has continuously made a lot of people lose their jobs, this is something that needs to be concerned about. 🥺

Even before the existence of the COVID-19 virus, working remotely was something many has had held a bad reputation for but people should evolve for the better, even so for both employers and employees alike.

Now, let's look at things on the bright side: with so many advanced tools that could help with remote working, and numerous studies show the benefits one would get, as well as productivity, have increased when WFH, it's no doubt working remotely has proven to be very effective! 🤗

If you as an employer is still having second thoughts on this, perhaps you should read on and do your thinking: will it help your company to reach even greater heights, or you would prefer to do it the traditional way when literally, everything around us is constantly evolving for the better?

Is or something new to you? Would you agree to have your team work wherever they want? 🤔
We've all seen and heard of certain traditional companies not buying the idea of having their employees work from home, as they could slack off in ways we could never imagine.
But to think of it this way, won't you think they should work wherever they want so that they don't feel pressured whenever they feel the need to report to the office every single day?
It's 2022, and working remotely should be better promoted to both employers and employees alike to improve productivity!
Not to mention we're living with the COVID-19 virus, and it also acts as a method to help curb the spread by working remotely to avoid physical interaction.

Pretty sure we've all heard of stories of employers of all kinds; those that are , while some are . Then, some would never care for their employees' health, be it mental or physical.
This. Needs. To. Stop. 😫
As far as for a company goes, employees' health also plays a crucial part in driving the . And yes, we are mentioning being in the long-run!
Employers need to understand a very simple fact:
No employees = No productivity.
What do you think would happen when your team has been overworked for a long period and yet nobody cared for them? They would surely and even have the thought of for the door, in search of better employment that would treat them like normal human beings. 😢
Apart from bringing revenues for their company, employers need to make sure that their employees are being taken care of! Do you want to have stable & steady productivity within your company? Take GOOD care of your employees.

Everyone knows just how important is! Let's talk about , and how it can impact us in our .
Employers, what can you do to help your team of employees to be ? Healthier as in, both and ? And employees, what can you do to stay on top of your game? 🤔

We are pretty sure that every employer has that who is always doing so well for the company. But then you realize they are now planning to . You want to keep them with you although they have expressed their need to .
Perhaps they have found another that better and has a more understanding ? Maybe they have certain issues within the company that they still feel reluctant to share with you? Or even, they have been but only getting so little in return?
Be that as it may, before you can do anything to change for the better, and the greater good on both parties. Now, what will you do? 🤔
