Social Media Marketing 101: Promoting or Spamming?

Lately, there are so many so called "Free FB marketing Platform" being offered to FB users. The only activities that I can see form these "platforms" are spamming on other people's wall with unnecessary marketing ads or messages.

I believe that the intention of these "platforms" is to get as many like & members as possible so that anything advertised on that page will get more views and SUPPOSEDLY more prospects.

It doesn't work that way in Social Media marketing. Social means People. People are human with emotion and mind. They will only react if something that they see or hear is related to them. Once or twice, they can still tolerate and accept anything that is thrown to them. But if it's done repeatedly, they will start to build up hatred and finally totally reject and possibly leave the "platform" or some even block & report for abuse.

The conclusion, if you want to use the social media as your A&P medium, do it properly. Do it with ethics. Learn how to do it properly and not just blindly blast any message to anybody. Identify your target audience and promote only to them. That is why we have the term "Targeted Marketing".
