Today, we mourn the loss of Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Kamal Salih, Chairman of the ICC 2025 Organizing Committee. He was not only a visionary leader but also a passionate advocate for using technology to improve lives. His profound knowledge and forward-thinking approach left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege to work with him.
Tan Sri believed that high-bandwidth connectivity was more than just a tool for advancement—it was a necessity for progress. He saw its potential to drive economic growth and bridge the digital divide through Quantum Communication, AI, IoT, Quantum Computing, and Automation. His vision was clear: to bring together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to foster innovation and create a more connected and sustainable future.
His dedication to making AI accessible to all and eliminating the digital divide was at the heart of his work. Through his tireless efforts, he played a crucial role in securing ministerial support for ICC 2025, transforming it into a platform for ground-breaking solutions in Connectivity, Cybersecurity, Quantum Communication, AI, IoT, Quantum Computing, and Automation.
The ICC 2025 will continue and move forward as scheduled in honour of Tan Sri's vision for the event, with a special dedication to him.
