[TechHouz Chronicles] The Shadow Grid v3.0
Chapter 3: The Cyber Wardens
(Action I: The Spark in the System)
Genesis of TechHouz, the first digital mysteries, and the awakening of the Overseer’s shadow.
(Introducing TechHouz Service #3: IT Outsourcing for Malaysia SMEs)
6. The Hidden Signal
For two hours, the network pulsed with quiet rhythm — until HOUZ-E’s voice broke the calm.
“Found origin of intrusion. Location: Penang — again.”
Liyana blinked. “Same trace as the Arachnid from Chapter 2.”
Mu Tong’s expression hardened. “Then it’s no coincidence. Someone’s testing every sector — F&B, manufacturing… next could be logistics or healthcare.”
He turned to Mr. Chan.
“We’ll clean your systems. But now we send a signal back.”
“Signal back?”
“Yes. A cry for help — but fake. We’ll bait the ShadowGrid.”
Start of Session 2
7. Operation Steel Echo
Midnight. Melaka slept under the drizzle.
Inside SunSteel’s control room, a decoy file appeared on the main server:
Blueprint_MalaysiaGrid2025.pdf — supposedly a secret government infrastructure plan.
Within minutes, the ghost took the bait.
Lines of code flared across every monitor, forming coordinates.
Liyana shouted, “Trace running! Destination — Cyberjaya Data Center!”
Mu Tong grinned. “Finally, a lead.”
He initiated the Field Remote Bridge, a feature of the Warden System allowing TechHouz to project themselves virtually into a compromised network.
The lights dimmed. Screens bent inward. The team was swallowed by digital mist.
They were inside the grid.
8. Inside the Grid
In that surreal space, files floated like jellyfish, lights blinked like city streets.
Then, from the distance, a figure emerged — tall, humanoid, made entirely of shifting numbers.
A robotic voice echoed:
“I am N-01. Prototype of the ShadowGrid overseer. Leave the system or become data.”
Jae, always the joker, whispered, “Well, at least he introduced himself politely.”
Mu Tong stepped forward. “We don’t fight to destroy. We fight to free.”
N-01 tilted its head. “Freedom is inefficiency.”
Without warning, digital waves surged toward them.
Firewalls collapsed, data storms raged. Liyana deployed a quantum lock, Jae fired data scramblers, and Mu Tong uploaded the Cyber Warden kernel — a spinning shield of blue light.
For a moment, silence.
Then N-01 glitched, fragments breaking apart.
Before it vanished, it spoke one last line:
“The Eye watches from the Cloud Temple…”
9. The Aftermath
Reality snapped back.
Machines restarted. Lights stabilized. The red skulls vanished.
Mr. Chan exhaled in disbelief. “You saved my factory… and 200 jobs.”
Mu Tong smiled. > “That’s what outsourcing means to us — we protect while you produce.”
Liyana yawned. “Can we outsource sleep now?”
Everyone laughed — even HOUZ-E beeped in applause rhythm.
10. A Message from the Eye
Just as they were packing up, HOUZ-E beeped again.
“New incoming transmission… encrypted… source unknown.”
The hologram unfolded — the same Eye symbol, now glowing brighter.
Through static came a calm voice:
“You freed the first gate. Seven remain.
Each service you build strengthens us.
Thank you… TechHouz.”
The message erased itself.
Jae’s grin faded. “Wait — they’re using us?”
Mu Tong’s eyes narrowed. “Or studying us.”
Outside, thunder rolled across Melaka’s skyline. A digital billboard flickered alive with a countdown:
47 : 59 : 59
Mu Tong whispered, > “The game resets.”
11. Chapter 3 Epilogue
The TechHouz van rolled north along the highway, neon reflections sliding over its windshield.
Mu Tong glanced at his tablet — a new case notification blinked:
Incoming Case: “Virtual CTO Crisis – Kedah.”
(TechHouz Service #4: Virtual Chief Technology Officer for Malaysia SMEs)
He took a sip of kopi, smirking.
“Looks like we’re heading north. Time to play chess with the Cloud Temple.”
HOUZ-E chirped: > “Mission log saved: The Cyber Wardens.”
🎬 Session 2 Marketing Hook
The ShadowGrid has shown its first face.
But behind the Cloud Temple lies something bigger — a network that learns from TechHouz itself.
Next up: Chapter 4 — “The Ghost CTO.”
The enemy doesn’t attack from outside anymore… it hires from within.
