We are proud to introduce our Cipta Impact Mascot. Oh Oh! (temporary name)

Why an otter?
Outside our center there's a small pond where otters and monitor lizards sometimes appear (swipe left to see photos 3&4). I was curious whether the monitor lizards bully the otters, but when I researched more I realised the fact it's the opposite!

Even though otters seem small and cute, they usually come in a gang(called a romp, a raft or a lodge depending on what they're doing) and they are actually quite intelligent, inquisitive and brave.

Other fun facts about otters, they are quite resourceful! They will keep a favourite stone in their pouch and use it as a tool to open things, they hold hand when they sleep floating on the water.

Just like our Chumbaka slogan "Brain, Buddy, Boss" they stay curious and help each other when needed! That's why we choose an otter for our mascot. Comment name suggestions below!

🏛️ Future Makers: Young Architects Edition

We're excited to launch the very first Future Makers series!

Designed for children aged 7–12, this 3-day experience introduces architecture through hands-on activities, digital design, model making, and a guided tour of Tanjung Aru Library with Ar. Ivan James Soo, who was involved in its interior design.

Our goal is simple: to inspire curiosity and help children learn beyond the classroom through meaningful real-world experiences.

Another inspiring day at the Sabah State Maker Fair 2026 – Kota Kinabalu! (7/7/26)

We were thrilled to welcome 135 students, 30 teachers, and 20 parents for a day of innovation, creativity, and collaboration.

This year's Young Innovators Challenge featured 28 teams from 13 schools, under the theme "AI for Social Good,"and Junior Innovate welcomed 28 teams from 12 schools Design Game for Biodiversity Guardians of Malaysia's Natural Treassured.

A big thank you to our sponsor, Hap Seng Group, and to UITM our venue host and all the students, teachers, parents, judges, and volunteers, who made this event possible. We can't wait to see what these young innovators create next! 💙

Throwback to the Sabah State Maker Fair 2026 (Tuaran)!

It was inspiring to see 30 teams from 11 schools come together at Starfish Foundation Malaysia to showcase their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills in the Young Innovators Challenge.
