Incoming long post: We here at Phone Fella like honesty as we wouldn't like to be mistreated as a customer as well. We also try to be as transparent as we can.
A week ago, we went to fix a friend's phone, a typical iPhone 7+, typical worn battery and a cracked screen. Seems easy enough.
Oh no, we were not ready. Somehow the socket for the front assembly, consisting of front camera, light sensor, proximity sensor and speaker tore. Once the ribbon is pressed in, the motherboard just heats up for a long time, that's an indication of something is drawing too much current, plus the home button wasn't working but works when the ribbon is removed.
We went to an iPhone motherboard specialist and got it fixed board level (we were not at that level yet).
Best thing was Mr J was extremely understanding, much more of Mr J Sr as it was his phone. They did not show one bit of anger and crazily, insisted on paying the full agreed amount prior.
We are truly blessed as the past 1 year of repairing phones door to door, we have not met a single rude & unreasonable customer. Love it.
