PIKOM is honored that the WITSA Board of Directors chose the Sarawak bid for WCIT 2023.

At the Crystal Handover ceremony traditionally held to signify the transfer of the hosting rights from one stunning location to the next, we are pleased to announce that the WCIT 2023 will be taking place in Sarawak, involving PIKOM, Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) and Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC).

WCIT 2023 will further WITSA’s aspirations of fulfilling the promise of the digital age for everyone. We look forward to seeing everyone at WCIT 2023, in Sarawak next year.

WCIT 2022 concluded its 3-day congress today, recording more than 4000 registered delegates from over 60 countries. PIKOM Chairman Dr Sean Seah expressed his heartfelt thank you and appreciation to everyone involved in making the event a grand success, with a significant appreciation to host state, Penang.

WCIT 2022 commenced with one of the world’s largest and most prestigious innovation and technology summits. The three-day congress kicked off with an event-filled programme with over 4,000 registered participants, more than 200 speakers, industry visionaries, government officials, captains of industry, innovators, entrepreneurs, academicians and media from over 60 countries.

Often referred to as the “Olympics of the global Information, Communications and Technology Industry”, WITSA’s 26th Edition of the WCIT was hosted in Penang. The congress was officiated by His Excellency Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak, Governor of Penang; the Right Honourable Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, Prime Minister of Malaysia; and the Right Honourable Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang.
