The energy was electric at the Penang Innovation Showcase 2026 as our teams presented groundbreaking solutions and innovative ideas that continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in public safety and enterprise security.

At our Penang Patent Award Dinner, we gathered to recognize and celebrate the brilliant minds behind our intellectual property. Their creativity and contributions to Motorola Solutions' patent portfolio are the foundation of our continuous technology leadership.

Last week was a massive week at Motorola Solutions Malaysia that showcased exactly who we are as a company: customer-centric, forward-thinking, and deeply appreciative of our people.

We kicked off the week in Kuala Lumpur, hosting our annual Hari Raya Open House and celebrating with our valued customers and partners.

We launched the global You & AI event on-site, empowering employees from every business function to learn, experiment and apply AI to their daily tasks. The participation was phenomenal and it was inspiring to see everyone embracing the future of work.

We were privileged to celebrate Scott Mottonen, Senior Vice President, for his retirement visit to Penang. Scott has been a cornerstone of our Penang Design Center leadership since 2017, guiding us through countless firsts and many milestones. Having Scott join our employees for a grand Raya celebration was the perfect final "Malaysian moment" to honor his incredible journey and sterling leadership.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in making the week so impactful.

To Scott, we wish you the very best in your next chapter - you will be deeply missed!

Yesterday was a triple celebration at our Motorola Solutions Penang site. We came together to mark International Women's Day (IWD), celebrated the festive spirit of Chap Goh Meh and held our first site town hall of the year.

Our leadership team handed out special commemorative tokens, greeting and thanking our employees for their dedication. The energy was infectious as our employees, both men and women, showed up in purple to symbolize our collective support for equity and inclusion.

This year's IWD theme, Give To Gain, is synonymous with our Better Together culture. The success of our organization stems from a great collaborative spirit, creating an intentional multiplication of our collective potential.

The celebration continues with more engaging activities organized by our Women's Business Council (WBC), including pop-up stores supporting local women-led businesses, celebrating entrepreneurship and innovation as well as our upcoming in-house blood donation drive, dedicated to selflessly helping those in need.

Kudos to our WBC for their leadership in curating such an impactful lineup of events. When we thrive, we all rise together!

Our spirit of was in full bloom last weekend as we kicked off our first site-wide volunteer activity of the year. For two days, our incredible Motorola Solutions Penang team stood at the heart of the Thaipusam celebration, continuing our tradition of service at our thaneer panthal (refreshment stall).

This year was particularly momentous as we joined the community in marking the 240th anniversary of this vibrant cultural festival in Penang. It was heartwarming to see employees from all backgrounds coming together to serve food and beverages to the thousands of devotees and visitors.

We were honored to welcome the Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, and his entourage during his official walkabout. Our team had the privilege of welcoming them to our booth with traditional cloth and garlands, sharing in the auspicious spirit of the festival.

A massive shoutout to every volunteer who dedicated their time and energy. From the early morning prep to the final serving, every moment was a beautiful embodiment of our spirit. Thank you!!

It was an action-packed week for Motorola Solutions Malaysia last week as we hosted our valued Government Affairs Directors, Michael O'Neill (Senior Director, International Govt Affairs) and Hallie Offen (Director, APAC Govt Affairs & International Trade), for their first official visit to Malaysia.

The visit, spanning two days, highlighted the crucial role Malaysia plays in our global strategy as well as emphasized the strong partnership and continued collaboration with our government agencies and partners.

We were delighted to host YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister of Penang II, for an introductory meeting at our facility where we also took the opportunity to celebrate the festive season together with the DCM and our employees, enjoying joyful Christmas carols and delicacies.

We were also privileged to meet with Dato' Lee Lian Loo, CEO of InvestPenang, where she shared valuable insights on the economic growth of Penang.

To cap off a productive Day 1, we spent time over dinner with our KL Sales Office leadership team, strengthening internal alignment and collaboration.

We continued our high-level engagements in Kuala Lumpur the next day by meeting with H.E. Edgard Kagan, US Ambassador to Malaysia, together with the U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur team, focusing on our robust operations and investments in Malaysia.

We also met with Dato' Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim, CEO of Malaysian Investment Development Authority - MIDA, and the MIDA team, for a fruitful discussion around investments and growth plans, ensuring Malaysia remains a vital hub for our R&D operations.

We also managed to slot in a visit to the AmCham Malaysia office to meet with the ever-supporting AMCHAM team. While we missed Dato' Siobhan, we were well received by Hasnul Nadzrin Shah, Kevin Roch and the rest of the team for a productive discussion.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all our partners and agencies for the warm welcome and for accommodating our packed schedule. Thank you for your excellent hospitality and we look forward to the continued partnership and collaboration!
