Four days into America's 250th year as an independent nation, I found myself looking at its history through a designer's lens.
What if one of the greatest branding case studies ever created wasn't a company at all?
For nearly 250 years, America's identity has been shaped by symbols, stories, campaigns, products, and people. The flag. The bald eagle. NASA. Coca-Cola. Apple. Landmark speeches. Cultural moments. Each generation has added another layer to a brand recognized around the world.
This case study explores how a nation's identity is built the same way enduring brands are: through consistency, courage, creativity, and the willingness to evolve without losing sight of what matters most.
