What happens after you stress test your own product and discover you have a clarity problem? That’s what we discovered through our test of HiveScore, our new brand and experience health checker. Read more about what we discovered: https://wix.to/ndrNZsp

We launched HiveScore - our brand & experience health assessment that diagnoses where your design-to-development process is stuck and points the way to smoother delivery. I took the test myself and made a short video walking through the results and next steps.

Throwback Thursday used to be one of the best parts of social media. Every week, we'd dig through blurry Facebook albums, questionable Instagram filters, and photos taken on cameras with approximately six pixels. Somehow, it worked. We weren't chasing algorithms. We were just sharing memories.

So here's my with a designer's twist.

Instead of posting a vacation photo, I designed the kind of digital travel poster I wish every destination had. Inspired by Prince George's County's skyline, waterfront, and iconic Capital Wheel, this piece celebrates the places that deserve a spot in our camera rolls before we even arrive.

Maybe nostalgia isn't just about looking back. Maybe it's about rediscovering places close to home with fresh eyes.

Where would your throwback take you? 📍✨

Four days into America's 250th year as an independent nation, I found myself looking at its history through a designer's lens.

What if one of the greatest branding case studies ever created wasn't a company at all?

For nearly 250 years, America's identity has been shaped by symbols, stories, campaigns, products, and people. The flag. The bald eagle. NASA. Coca-Cola. Apple. Landmark speeches. Cultural moments. Each generation has added another layer to a brand recognized around the world.

This case study explores how a nation's identity is built the same way enduring brands are: through consistency, courage, creativity, and the willingness to evolve without losing sight of what matters most.

It's a reminder that the strongest brands aren't built overnight. They're built over generations.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th, America.

America was never branded by a single logo, president, or company. It was built through 250 years of symbols, stories, campaigns, products, and ideas that collectively shaped one of the world's most recognizable identities. As designers, we're often asked to create brands that people recognize, trust...

Summer looks different when you’re a UX designer.

While everyone else is floating in the pool, I’m mentally reorganizing navigation menus, spotting friction in online checkout flows, and wondering why that CTA is buried three scrolls down. My husband gets the tan. My clients get better customer experiences.

A design system isn’t just a UI library.
It’s the shared language behind scalable products.

Because users notice inconsistency faster than teams notice technical debt. Tiny mismatches in buttons, spacing, flows, and interactions slowly turn products into digital junk drawers.

Good design systems create:
✦ consistency
✦ faster collaboration
✦ cleaner handoffs
✦ scalable experiences
✦ stronger user trust

The goal isn’t making everything look identical.
It’s making everything feel intentional.

A lot of teams think a design system is just a prettier component library.
It’s not. It’s operational clarity.

A strong design system creates consistency across products, reduces development friction, speeds up collaboration, and helps teams scale without reinventing the wheel every sprint. Which, frankly, should not be a radical concept in 2026, yet here we are watching companies name 14 different button styles “Primary Final v2.”

Design systems help teams:
• Create more consistent user experiences
• Reduce design and development debt
• Improve handoff between teams
• Build trust with users through predictability

When your product speaks the same visual language everywhere, users stop working to understand your interface and start focusing on what they actually came to do.

That’s the point.
