For our second evening in , we focused on a question many engineering leaders are asking right now.

What is AI really changing inside engineering teams, and what are the opportunities and challenges that come with it?

Over dinner at J-Prime, technology leaders shared their experiences and perspectives on what the senior engineer role looks like now, how junior talent gets trained when the tasks they once learned from are increasingly automated, which architecture decisions will be hardest to reverse, how team composition is shifting, and where capacity constraints are moving now that code generation is no longer the bottleneck.

In a roundtable format, our guests led the discussion themselves. We wanted to hear directly from everyone in the room and learn how different organizations are addressing these challenges.

Last week, we hosted the first of two dinner conversations at in Austin, bringing together CTOs, CIOs, VPs of Engineering, and Heads of Data.

Led by Eduardo Ramírez, our Director of AI, the conversation explored when to build, when to buy, and how to structure pilots that produce real evidence. We also discussed what has actually made it into production, where pilots are getting stuck, how leaders are measuring return, and the talent and capacity challenges shaping their decisions.
