MAN OF THE MOMENT

"Jack Dorsey"

Jack Dorsey to launch Bitchat, a messaging app that requires no internet, central servers, phone numbers or emails.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has announced the beta launch of Bitchat, a decentralised, peer-to-peer messaging app to take on WhatsApp. Dorsey revealed over the weekend that the beta version is now live on TestFlight, with a detailed white paper available on GitHub.
The app is designed to work entirely over Bluetooth mesh networks, which means it requires no internet, central servers, phone numbers or emails, offering an off-grid communication method. Dorsey described the project on X as a personal experiment delving into "bluetooth mesh networks, relays and store and forward models, message encryption models, and a few other things."

Possible fix to the error message:

*** Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
* The system has halted ***

Here's a breakdown to 100% Confirmed Problem:

Memory (RAM) hardware failure or memory parity error (data corruption in RAM).

Likely Causes (ranked by likelihood):

1. Bad RAM module(s) — physically defective or failing.

2. Faulty RAM slot — the motherboard slot itself may be damaged.

3. Memory not seated properly — loose connection or poor contact.

4. Overheating — causing RAM or memory controller to malfunction.

5. Motherboard issue — specifically with the memory controller or chipset.

6. Power supply issues — poor voltage can corrupt memory operations.

7. Overclocking or BIOS settings — unstable memory timings or frequencies.

What You Can Do to Fix It:

1. Power off and reseat the RAM (remove, clean contacts, and reinstall).

2. Test each RAM stick individually to find the faulty one.

3. Try using different RAM slots to check if a slot is bad.

4. Run a memory diagnostic tool like MemTest86 (bootable).

5. Reset BIOS to default settings.

6. Update BIOS (if needed and safe to do).

7. Replace the faulty RAM module.

Fixing BIOS Issues

If your computer crashes while updating the BIOS or has the wrong version, or if the BIOS gets messed up and your computer won't turn on after an update, we can help!

At KikoTech, we specialize in fixing BIOS problems. The BIOS is like the DNA of your device, controlling how it works. If your laptop or any other device stops working due to a corrupted BIOS, we can write a new one directly to the chip.

Most devices, like laptops, desktops, monitors, car computers, and appliances, have a BIOS firmware that controls their functions. We use advanced equipment to fix BIOS issues on chips located on motherboards.
If the firmware gets damaged, the accessories may stop working. If the main BIOS is damaged, the entire computer will either stop working or behave abnormally.

Laptops and PCs, including Macbooks and iMacs, have multiple BIOS chips controlling different parts like graphics cards and chipsets. Each chip has a unique code. If the BIOS is damaged, your computer may stop working or behave abnormally.

Common signs of a corrupted BIOS include:

1. Laptop stops working after a BIOS update.
2. No lights or signs of life.
3. Laptop turns on and off.
4. Computer thinks it's too hot.
5. Laptop turns on, but the screen stays black.
6. Internal accessories stop working.
7. Computer won't turn on.
8. Fans run at full speed even when the computer is cold.

Whether it's a MacBook, iMac, Mini-Mac, or any other computer, we can help fix these issues.
