🏃 Design Showcase | 1 Malawi Ri**es (1MR) Inter Coy Cross Country

We've just completed an exciting new backdrop artwork for the 1 Malawi Ri**es Inter Coy Cross Country Competition, and we couldn't be prouder of how it turned out! 🎨

📍 Client: Cobbe Barracks
📐 Backdrop Size: 4m × 4m

The design captures the energy, discipline, and competitive spirit of the event, featuring the vibrant green and red color scheme associated with 1MR, complete with the event details and vivid race imagery.

🗓️ Event Date: 4th September 2026
📍 Venue: 1MR Wilson Square

🎨 FROM RESEARCH TO BRAND IDENTITY — JOYFUL STEPS ACADEMY

Every professional design project has a story behind the final artwork.

For my recent project with Joyful Steps Academy, I didn't start by simply opening CorelDRAW and designing a logo.

I started with brand research and colour exploration—looking at how the visual identity could communicate trust, excellence, learning, growth and a welcoming environment for children.

From that foundation, I developed the identity and applied it across different corporate materials:

🔹 Logo & Brand Identity
🔹 Letterhead
🔹 Promotional Flyer
🔹 Fee Structure
🔹 Signage/Sticker

The logo development itself involved concept development, refinement, typography and colour decisions before arriving at the final identity.

The project currently stands at MK180,000 in design work, with MK130,000 received so far.

For me, graphic design isn't simply about producing attractive artwork.

It's about research, strategy, creativity and consistency.

Every colour has a reason.
Every element has a purpose.
Every design should communicate something.
