The PSR-S970 is the flagship model of the S-series, and combines all the functionality of the other models in the range together with powerful performance features including versatile effects inherited from the legendary Tyros 5, external display capability and a programmable vocal harmony function.

Fault: Dead unit (no power-on), no speaker relay click, no L/MONO or RIGHT audio output.

Diagnostics & Fix:
• AM PCB ASSY: Replaced faulty NJM78M12FA +12V linear regulator, restoring the regulated +12V rail required for the analog audio circuitry.
• Replaced defective 2SC2712-Y (VJ927100) muting transistor, which was holding the speaker protection relay in mute, preventing relay engagement and audio output.

Fault: Keybed issues (entire 4th octave silent) & L/mono output non-functional.

Diagnostics & Fix:
• Keybed: Restored broken and corroded PCB traces.
• Audio Circuit: Replaced dead µPC4570D op-amp and surrounding filter caps (ESR high, >10Ω).
