This church is located in a really beautiful place inside our village. One of the oldest roads we have and on one side it overlooks the valley. It was built in the year 1758 in a really sweet style and is a foundation of Don Paskal Azzopardi, a benefactor of the Archpriestly Church as well. Until recently it belonged to the Manduca Azzopardi family and is located next to the Baron's villa. A villa that has recently been in the news due to a development or rather a proposed development that does not make sense and that the Council is totally against. It contains a square of Our Lady of the Abandoned and it also contains the bones of a holy martyr given the name of Saint Innocent. It is a pity that as Zebbugin we do not have access to enjoy it. Even in the summer it is a place where some outdoor activities can be done.

Have not posted for a while but it’s times like this when Joan and myself are asked back in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 why we moved to Malta and this is the reason with the restrictions getting back to a bit normality and being the night before Good Friday the culture of the Island and it’s people (our friends) the surroundings and hills coming to life roundabout our village.
