The Micro Invest Scheme 2026–2030, administered by Malta Enterprise, sets out the tax credit framework available to eligible small businesses in Malta, including self-employed persons.

The scheme provides tax credits of up to 65% of eligible expenditure (up to 85% for Gozo-based operations), with support of up to €65,000 over a three-year period, and additional bonuses applicable in specific cases.

Our CSR Week brought us closer to the community we live and work in. 🤝🌎

For a few hours each, our people stepped out into different corners of the Maltese Islands to support organisations doing vital work every day. Together, those hours added up to something truly meaningful, a collective contribution that reflects what can happen when everyone gives a small part of their time.

What mattered most was the reminder that community isn’t “out there”, it’s our neighbours, our families, and the people behind the causes we choose to stand with. And when we show up together, even in small ways, the ripple travels far.

The EU Pay Transparency Directive is introducing new expectations for HR teams and organisations alike.

The conversation around pay is changing:

➡️ Salary negotiations are becoming more structured and transparent.
➡️ Incentive strategies, career pathways, and remuneration frameworks need to align more closely than ever.
➡️ Employee requests for equal pay information will require timely, clear, and well-supported responses.

Pay transparency will not be defined solely by what organisations disclose, but by how confidently and consistently they can explain it.

The organisations that begin preparing now; across HR, leadership, and management teams, will be in a far stronger position when transparency becomes an operational expectation rather than a regulatory requirement.

Updating pay structures is only the starting point. Organisations must also prepare their people for the conversations that follow. ➡️ https://www.rsm.global/malta/service/eu-pay-transparency-directive

Maltese government and public sector stakeholders joined a PRISM EuroQCI network tour, visiting key sites including the Melita Data Centre, University of Malta, MITA, and the Malta Digital Innovation Authority.

The visit showcased Malta’s quantum-secure communications testbed and how advanced research is being translated into practical national capability under the EuroQCI initiative.

The tour highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration between government, academia, and industry in strengthening secure digital infrastructure.

As Gordon Micallef, Principal at RSM Malta, noted: “Secure communication is no longer a future concern; it is a present-day necessity for Malta and for Europe.”

Voluntary liquidation is often misunderstood. In Malta, a Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (MVL) can be a strategic exit when a company has fulfilled its purpose or no longer aligns with shareholder objectives.

When executed properly, it offers:

➡️ Control over timing
➡️ Orderly distributions
➡️ Reduced post‑closure compliance burden

RSM Malta’s Financial Advisory team supports aviation businesses in addressing financial structuring and capital markets readiness, taking into account the asset-intensive nature of the industry, long-term investment horizons, and the regulatory considerations associated with operating in a specialised sector.

The firm has supported aviation sector clients in accessing Malta’s domestic capital market through bond issuances and similar instruments, demonstrating how sector-specific businesses can be effectively accommodated within an established local regulatory framework.

These mandates reflect the continued development of Malta’s capital market, highlighting its capacity to support aviation operators alongside more traditional industries, and to facilitate financing models aligned with long-term asset investment and sector-specific requirements.

The team also provides guidance on complex and non-standard capital market transactions, offering practical, experience-led support to aviation companies evaluating domestic market options as part of their broader financing strategy.
