Mall Systems Limited is an IT development company that specialises in software, hardware and business solutions. We are currently looking for a Technical Support Officer in order to sustain our growth.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Responding in a timely manner (according to SLA’s) to service issues and requests incoming through online help desk portal, via telephone and/ or in-person, providing technical support to end users;
- Documenting all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue;
- Accessing software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources
on the Internet to aid in problem resolution;
- Identifying and learning appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organisation;
- Performing hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software,
implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications;
- Developing help sheets and knowledge base articles for end users; and
- Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of a MQF Level 6 in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any relevant field;
- Have good knowledge in information technology and computer software technology;
- Have knowledge in programming; and
- Have working experience is considered an asset.
The ability to work independently, with a team and multi-task effectively is deemed essential for this role. Over and above this, the right candidate is able to demonstrate strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
