AcrossLimits was honoured to support and attend the PoliRural Plus project’s MALTESE cascade initiative, held last week at the National Viticulture & Oenology Centre in Dingli, specifically between the 5th and 8th May. This training programme brought together young people, entrepreneurs, farmers, educators, and local stakeholders👨‍🌾

This 4-day programme was organised by PAMEA (Austria), SELFHOOD (Hungary) and SEMABLU (Malta) and featured workshops, practical demonstrations and business development sessions.

Participants explored the MALTESE digital ecosystem, including JackDaw, Map Whiteboard, and E-Market, and examined how AI-powered systems such as cloud technologies, can enable smarter rural decision-making.

A key outcome was the collaborative work on real sector challenges, leading to new business concepts, pitch development, and final presentations. Four promising ideas were awarded at the closing ceremony🏆

Innovation and collaboration can turn ideas into action and strengthen rural communities through practical, place-based support💡🌱

As the partner working on Malta’s Pilot within Poliruralplus, we look forward to sustaining this progress in support of the Maltese Agricultural Sector.

🎉 Another two successful EU‑matchmaking sessions in the books!

We hosted two matchmaking sessions that brought together 143 registered participants, with 71 joining the live webinar and 107 one‑to‑one meetings arranged between partners.

The event kicked off with an insightful session by Tamara Schembri from Xjenza Malta on Horizon Europe opportunities, followed by dynamic matchmaking across two days.

It’s great to see so many meaningful connections starting, and we’re excited to watch these conversations grow into strong collaborations and proposals.

A big thank you to everyone who joined and made the sessions possible! 🙌

Our Director of Business Development, Alex Camilleri attended the signing ceremony for the Artemis Accords.

This event formalised Malta entering into an agreement with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration on behalf of the USA, alongside several other countries, for peaceful exploration of deep space and reinforces national commitments to international space treaties.

As part of the local space ecosystem, AcrossLimits (Malta) was invited to be present alongside other industrial, academic and public sector actors in Malta.

We welcome this step forward for Malta taking on a more global presence when it comes to space 🛰️ 🚀
