Position: Senior Cybersecurity Instructor
Techno Learn is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Cybersecurity Instructor to deliver practical, career-focused cybersecurity training and support the development of high-quality cybersecurity learning programs.
The successful candidate will combine real-world cybersecurity experience with strong teaching, communication, curriculum-development, lab-building, and learner-mentoring skills. The instructor will also collaborate with other instructors on OSCP and CISSP training guidelines, lesson plans, practical exercises, assessment standards, and learner-support materials.
Key Responsibilities
â˘Deliver live or recorded cybersecurity training for beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners.
â˘Support OSCP and CISSP preparation training by working with other instructors to prepare and maintain teaching guidelines, lesson plans, labs, exercises, assessment materials, and learner-support resources.
â˘Teach cybersecurity fundamentals, networking, Linux, web security, API security, ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment, pe*******on testing, secure coding concepts, and security best practices.
â˘Create structured course outlines, presentation slides, demonstrations, practical labs, quizzes, assignments, and learner assessments.
â˘Build or configure safe, isolated, and authorized environments for hands-on cybersecurity training.
â˘Explain technical topics clearly and guide learners through security tools and testing methodologies.
â˘Review learner assignments, lab work, pe*******on-testing reports, and projects, and provide constructive technical feedback.
â˘Mentor learners on methodology, troubleshooting, report writing, portfolio development, certifications, career preparation, and responsible disclosure.
â˘Coordinate with other instructors to maintain consistent course quality, teaching standards, and learner outcomes.
â˘Keep course content updated with current cybersecurity threats, tools, methodologies, and industry practices.
â˘Maintain reliable attendance, professional communication, accurate progress updates, and timely completion of teaching deliverables.
Required Qualifications and Experience
â˘BSc or MSc in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a closely related field.
â˘At least 3 years of professional cybersecurity job experience in cybersecurity, application security, pe*******on testing, security engineering, SOC, network security, or a closely related role.
â˘At least 2 years of professional teaching, training, mentoring, or instructor experience in cybersecurity or a closely related technical field.
â˘Strong practical knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, networking, Linux, web technologies, APIs, authentication, authorization, and common security controls.
â˘Strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10, API security risks, vulnerability assessment, and ethical pe*******on-testing principles.
â˘Demonstrable ability to perform or explain Web Application and API security testing using a structured methodology.
â˘Practical experience with tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, Postman, and Linux-based security tools.
â˘Strong presentation, teaching, communication, learner-engagement, and mentoring skills.
â˘Ability to create professional slides, practical exercises, labs, assignments, and technical documentation.
â˘Ability to teach clearly in English or Burmese, depending on course and learner requirements.
â˘Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate professionally with other instructors.
Preferred Qualifications
â˘OSCP, CISSP, OSWE, eWPT/eWPTX, PNPT, eCPPT, GPEN, CEH, Security+, or equivalent certifications and practical experience.
â˘Experience supporting or co-delivering OSCP and/or CISSP preparation training.
â˘Experience working with other instructors to create consistent course guidelines, teaching standards, labs, and assessments.
â˘Previous experience creating cybersecurity courses, bootcamps, CTFs, practical labs, or professional training programs.
â˘Experience teaching secure coding, DevSecOps, cloud security, mobile security, digital forensics, incident response, or security operations.
â˘A portfolio of training materials, technical articles, public presentations, responsible-disclosure work, CTF participation, open-source security contributions, or anonymized project work.
â˘Familiarity with online teaching platforms, learning-management systems, virtual classrooms, and remote learner support.
Work Arrangement
â˘Work type: Remote, part-time, project-based or course-based engagement
â˘Working hours: Flexible, subject to class schedules and agreed availability
â˘Location: Remote; candidates who can communicate reliably during agreed Myanmar Time working windows are preferred
â˘Compensation: To be discussed based on experience, teaching scope, course workload, and availability
â˘Start date: As soon as possible, subject to mutual agreement
