🎉 We’re thrilled to share that we’ve finishing the testing phase of our latest project with UNICEF Innovation - UNICEF Venture Fund , AI-empowered solution for detecting illegal landfills and monitoring changes in legal ones. 🌍

With AI at its core, this project aims to create a cleaner and safer environment by identifying and addressing unauthorized landfills while ensuring efficient monitoring of approved landfill sites. This technology will support municipalities and environmental agencies in their fight against pollution and help them make impactful, data-driven decisions.

🚀 Platform Features:

AI Detection: Scans satellite or drone images for illegal landfill outlines.

Monitoring: Tracks changes over time.

3D Visualization: Realistic landfill models aid in accurate volume estimation.

Resource Efficiency: Saves time with automated, large-area detection.

We are delighted to announce an upcoming educational seminar for students focused on Digital Twin, BIM, and GIS technologies, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje.

Beginning this March, the seminar aims to provide participants with a diverse understanding of the benefits and applications of these cutting-edge technologies in the fields of architecture and engineering.

By covering best practices and use cases, as well as through interactive discussions, attendees will gain practical knowledge that they can apply to their current and future projects.

Last year we held 19 INS technical sessions where our engineers talked about a great number of technical topics from multitenant architectures and progressive web apps to AR and VR with WebXR. The first tech session in this year ( #20 in a row) is presented by our youngest engineer Matej Gjozinski and the topic is amazing: "Introduction to Machine Learning with TensorFlow and Google Colab". We are talking about the ways and techniques of utilizing TensorFlow to implement procedures such as model trainings, what training actually means and how can that be done over Colab with a final goal of showcasing a use case of object detection and initial baseline for visual inspection with machine learning.

It was a lurching, stammering year that began in hope, flirted with whiplash, and shuddered to a halt. In 2021, miraculously effective vaccines showed up and the deliberate preservation of mental health–resilience was a major theme. Resilience was everywhere. The world emerging from the worst of the pandemic focused a new concentration on the intolerable inequities brought into high relief by lockdown, and climate change that made itself more evident by the day. Although social media thrived on the strife that now defines world politics, and more often than not, brought evident the worst in us, we still know how to recognize the best in one another. The mantra of 2021 after all, was, “things will never be the same.” Make no mistake, there will be challenges, some monsters we haven’t seen yet. The work continues. We hope to finish it in 2022.

That being said, if we need to summarize everything in one sentence, well, then, here it goes: do the work, put trust in science, trust in your peers and colleagues, most of all believe in yourselves, we have come this far, together, we will get through this.

One of our QA colleagues, Dimitar Sirgovski is talking about Selenium, NUnit and automated testing procedures we use when testing our solutions. Quality assurance was, is and always will be one of our most important software development cycle elements.
