Responsibilities:
• Clearly communicate complex concepts verbally in English.
• Be able to significantly overlap or fully work in North American time zones. These are the times the clients’ teams are working, and to be part of those teams, you need to share some hours.
• Respect deadlines and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Write clean, secure, and robust code to implement the desired requirements.
• Always test your code.
• Assess new technologies and trends correctly.
• Complete various project-related tasks and/or assign them to project members.
• Building and maintaining modern web applications.
• Refactor legacy applications to modern standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
• More than 5 years of experience and strong core Java skills.
• Experience developing REST services with SpringBoot or similar.
• Experience with other protocols like SOAP or with event-driven architectures is desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of Spring and a clear understanding of dependency injection.
• Spring security and design patterns.
• Good understanding of Hibernate/JPA and Object-relational mapping, including performance considerations.
• Experience (preferably 2+ years) with relational databases (Kafka, SQL Server…) and their concepts: PK, FK, normalization, partitions, etc
• Good knowledge and experience in testing frameworks.
• Proven ability to understand and troubleshoot large systems, drilling down to code level to identify the root cause of issues.
Desirable
• Experience with agile tools and methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Confluence, JIRA)
• Knowledge of cloud concepts like service discovery, containers, infrastructure as code, etc, and experience deploying to cloud platforms (AWS, SAP BTP, …)
• Consultancy experience
• Team leading experience
